My mom auditioned to be host of Legends

Learn somthing new every day.

I recently found out from my mom that she auditioned with Nick to be the host of Legends of the Hidden Temple. At that time, we didn't have cable, so I knew little about Nick back then.

It's cool to be even remotely connected to this great show, but I really don't think it would have been the same magic with my mom, as she would have remembered the names of the rooms on a consistant basis! :P

Kirk was definetely the right choice for host.  Sure he screwed up all the time, but it's just funny to hear things like "Demoosa's Lair," calling the Trouble Bridge "The Stairs" and quotes like "Can she nurn it?" and "Is she a snake? Can she snake her way through?"

Kirk screwed up a lot, but he's so earnest you can't hate him.

Does your mom call things by hilarious wrong names all the time?  If not, she needn't have applied.   :wink:

They asked her a bunch of questions (she cant remember what exactly, as she used to audition regularly at the time and this was nothing special to her), and they had her do a few takes narrating a video tape of a roller derby, and then narrating to a video of kids going through a generic obsticle course.
