We all know that the average age limit of the contestants on the show was usually 12-14. There were times where though that some episodes had a contestant that was 11 or some that were as old as 15. What episodes featured some of the oldest and youngest contestants on the show?

One example of an old contestant was Joel in "The Enormous Iron Nose Ring of Babe", who was 15.

Another example of a 15-year old was Shawn in "The Trojan Horseshoe". Its funny that both of these contestants are older than the usual contestants and won in the temple. I guess the older contestants were a little more competent due to being mature.

On the other side, there were many 11-year olds on the show I suppose. One that comes to mind is our very own Tia from the infamous "Cricket Cage" episode. I am sure there are more out there.

So what are some other young or old contestants?

I remember reading on Zac Turney's website that he was 14 when he appeared on Legends. He's the only one I know about though.

Yeah, Zac was pretty old when it came to season 3. I am not sure if there were many 14 or 15-year olds in season three. I guess that would make his brother Levi to be around 11 or 12.

Although season one had the unusual teams where one contestant could be 11 and the other one could be 15. They didn't really do it that much in later seasons.

Zac also mentioned that the Red Jaguar boy in his episode was 15.

Annie, the female Purple Parrot from "The Lucky Pig of Amelia Earhart" was said to be 10 years old. Though she turned 11 by September 1993, according to that one article featuring her and Scott. Also, the male Blue Barracuda from "The Helmet of Joan of Arc" was said to be 10 as well. Having 11 year old contestants was not an uncommon thing. Heck, more than half the contestants from Season 1 were 11. I don't think the producers would put an 11 and 15 year old on the same team. That just wouldn't work out. Though some of those 11 year olds were paired up with 13 year olds at times.
