Why did Gabby get a 6? She was slow like a snail taking a shit. She deserves a 2.

I wonder why Gabby and Joe have average scores for the temple Run when they're so slow.
Favourite Team: Red Jaguars
Favourite Episode: The Jewel-Encrusted Egg of Catherine the Great, tied with the Mussel Shell Armor of Apanuugpak and the Lost Hornpipe of the Pirate Captain
Favourite Season: Season 3

When artists like LMFAO, Ke$ha, Taylor Swift, Carly Rae Jespen and Justin Bieber and songs like "Party Rock Anthem", "Call Me Maybe", "Thrift Shop" and others are succeeding in today's music industry and about 99% of the world is buying their shit and any argument you make is followed by nonsense from these people, you would wish the world had ended on 21st December 2012.

Were the Elizabeth I Golden Ships contestants really bad though? I mean sure they only went through four rooms, but that is because their run ended in triple capture. I am sure they would've made it much further had it not been for the three guards. But that is a bad run anyways.

And I am glad to see Jennifer in Map to the Lost Gold Mine leading the averages for the girls. She was one of my all time favorite female players.

And I love how the Purple Parrots in the Golden Cricket Cage of Khan have a higher average than the Silver Snakes despite not entering the temple.  :mrsilver:

Yeah, the only problem the Golden Ship kids had was moving too slow. And like TRJ said, they were caught by three temple guards. And yes, the Silver Snakes' average in Cricket Cage is pretty unfortunate. The Purple Parrots would have done a better job in the temple for sure.

I mean their only problem was that they struggled in the Wall Climb. And a lot of players struggled there because of those useless ropes. At least they didn't seem like they were clueless in the temple like John, Tia, Kim, and Lisa.

And I think any team would do better than John and Tia.  :P I mean Sabrina traveled further in the temple than those two did, and this is Sabrina we are talking about. To this day I never knew how these two could be this stupid.

Gabby and Joe weren't THAT bad.  They certainly weren't good, but they seemed fairly competent.

Time for the next set, featuring the Season 1, Layout 3 episodes.  Now, I need to bring up another aspect of the scoring system.  If the Temple Games goes to a tiebreaker, I can add or subtract a point depending on how the contestants do in the tiebreaker round.  Generally, it only applies to the people who actually ring in, but there are a few cases where multiple people will receive a bonus/subtraction.

THE STAR OF SULTAN SALADIN:

Silver Snakes - Leah
Moat: 7
Steps of Knowledge: 3
Individual Temple Game: 4
Team Temple Game: 6
Temple Run: 6
Overall: 5.2

Silver Snakes - Steve
Moat: 8
Steps of Knowledge: 7
Individual Temple Game: 9
Team Temple Game: 7
Temple Run: N/A
Overall: 7.75

Red Jaguars - Leslie
Moat: 8
Steps of Knowledge: 3
Individual Temple Game: 4
Team Temple Game: 7
Overall: 5.5

Red Jaguars - Tom
Moat: 7
Steps of Knowledge: 8
Individual Temple Game: 7
Team Temple Game: 6
Overall: 7

Notes about this episode: I was really surprised by the results of this.  Leah, generally regarded as a really good player, only got a 5.2, and Steve, an easily forgotten contestant, got an amazing score of 7.75.  Imagine what would've happened had Steve gone into the temple instead of Leah.  On the Red Jaguars, Tom was great and Leslie was little above average, but in the end, Leah and Steve were just a little bit better.

Overall, I liked this episode, except for the second Temple Game.  That was a horrible show by both Leah and Leslie.

THE KEYS TO THE ALHAMBRA:

Red Jaguars - Lisa
Moat: 7
Steps of Knowledge: 7
Individual Temple Game: 6
Team Temple Game: 8
Temple Run: 2
Overall: 6

Red Jaguars - Steve
Moat: 7
Steps of Knowledge: 7
Individual Temple Game: 7
Team Temple Game: 6
Temple Run: 10
Overall: 7.4

Silver Snakes - Leslie
Moat: 8
Steps of Knowledge: 4
Individual Temple Game: 7
Team Temple Game: 6
Overall: 6.25

Silver Snakes - Rodney
Moat: 8
Steps of Knowledge: 6
Individual Temple Game: 8
Team Temple Game: 7
Tiebreaker Bonus: -1
Overall: 7

Notes about this episode:  Congratulations to Steve for the first 10 rating for any one event.  In the Temple Run, he wasted no time speeding through all those rooms, and there was no inherent flaw with his plan for going through the temple.  When the artifact is at the far end, the direct path is not entirely implausible.  Other than that, Steve was consistent with above average ratings for the other rounds.

But enough about Steve, let's talk about the other contestants.  Lisa surprised me.  For someone who did so horribly in the Temple Run, she was actually pretty dominant in the pre-Temple rounds, and even though she got a 2 in the Temple Run, she still managed a 6 average.  On the Silver Snakes, Rodney was also pretty dominant, but he totally choked in the Tiebreaker.  Leslie was not as dominant as the other three contestants, but she still did pretty well.

I enjoyed the competitiveness of the pre-Temple rounds, but Lisa really made the Temple Run pretty lackluster, which detracts from the overall quality of the episode.

THE HELMET OF GENGHIS KHAN:

Red Jaguars - Becca
Moat: 7
Steps of Knowledge: 6
Individual Temple Game: 4
Team Temple Game: 7
Temple Run: 5
Overall: 5.8

Red Jaguars - Taylor
Moat: 8
Steps of Knowledge: 5
Individual Temple Game: 9
Team Temple Game: 8
Temple Run: 6
Overall: 7.2

Blue Barracudas - Tammy
Moat: 5
Steps of Knowledge: 2
Individual Temple Game: 3
Team Temple Game: 5
Overall: 3.75

Blue Barracudas - Phillip
Moat: 7
Steps of Knowledge: 8
Individual Temple Game: 7
Team Temple Game: 7
Overall: 7.25

Notes about this episode: Overall, I didn't like this episode as much as some others. I liked the dominant performance by the male contestants, but this time it just wasn't enough for me to truly enjoy watching it.

THE TROJAN HORSESHOE:

Green Monkeys - Lucretia
Moat: 5
Steps of Knowledge: 5
Individual Temple Game: 7
Team Temple Game: 6
Temple Run: 5
Overall: 5.6

Green Monkeys - Shawn
Moat: 8
Steps of Knowledge: 6
Individual Temple Game: 6
Team Temple Game: 8
Temple Run: 6
Overall: 6.8

Silver Snakes - Jennifer
Moat: 6
Steps of Knowledge: 5
Individual Temple Game: 7
Team Temple Game: 6
Overall: 6

Silver Snakes - Bob
Moat: 6
Steps of Knowledge: 3
Individual Temple Game: 5
Team Temple Game: 6
Overall: 5

Notes about this episode: Wow.  The players in this episode were considerably worse than the previous episodes in this set.  I think it's overall just an average episode.

THE PENDANT OF KAMEHAMEHA:

Silver Snakes - Tina
Moat: 6
Steps of Knowledge: 5
Individual Temple Game: 6
Team Temple Game: 6
Temple Run: 6
Overall: 5.8

Silver Snakes - Robbie
Moat: 7
Steps of Knowledge: 6
Individual Temple Game: 6
Team Temple Game: 6
Tiebreaker Bonus: +1
Temple Run: 8
Overall: 6.8

Red Jaguars - Maria
Moat: 5
Steps of Knowledge: 7
Individual Temple Game: 5
Team Temple Game: 7
Overall: 6

Red Jaguars - Mike
Moat: 6
Steps of Knowledge: 4
Individual Temple Game: 5
Team Temple Game: 7
Overall: 5.5

Notes about this episode: Again, the contestants here don't match up to the other episodes in the set, but this one was a little more fun to watch, mostly because the Temple Games went to a tiebreaker and the Temple Run was somewhat better, despite the unfortunate capture.  But one little short thing: Robbie was really good in the temple, probably just as good as Steve from "The Keys to the Alhambra", but I felt I could only give him an 8 since his plan wasn't very good and ultimately that plan made him responsible for the team's capture.

I am surprised to see Lisa have a higher overall ranking than Becca and Tina. Then again, the team was fine until when the temple came around though. Had she been any more competent in the temple, Lisa might've had a higher average.

Steve was definitely a beast though and was probably the best male contestant you covered so far after Jammin John.

I can't wait until you hit the S1L4 episodes. I am interested in Kristen and Mitchell's rankings.

What can I say?  By trying to do it as objectively as possible, we're bound to get surprising results like that.  I was surprised too.  I thought Leah was a really good player, but apparently not so much.

You have to remember that he is taking the entire episode into account and not just their temple performance. Leah did a great job in the temple while her pre-temple rounds were about average.

Gabby on the other hand did remarkably well in her temple game. She  already put all three wigs on her mannquin while her opponent (who was a boy) wasn't even finished putting two wigs on. Even in the the temple its hard to judge her performance since she only traveled one room extra than her partner. Had the run not ended in triple capture, I could see her finishing one room away or even reaching the artifact. She was not clueless like other contestants in early season one like John, Tia, Kim, Sabrina, and Lisa.

How do you explain Gabby wasting so much time between the Heart Room and Idols Room (in that chute)? You don't call that clueless?

Well, Gabby's game ended in a tie. Mostly because neither her OR her opponent could find the last wig. Prompting both of them to hilariously shuffle through all the foam just to find it.

As far as Gabby's performance, she wasn't that great of a player yes. But she was more so too slow than she was bad.

Its hard to notice, but the door between the Heart Room and Golden Idols does not open all the way. You can see her forcing it open after Kirk tells her to slide it open. This probably adds to her confusion and the reason why she wasted time in the crawlspace. The only real problem this team had was speed, and that was a pretty universal problem of a lot of season one contestants.
