Has anyone ever met a TV writer?

I have. Don Payne (one of the writers on "The Simpsons") is the son of my 7th & 8th grade Spanish teacher, and he actually came to my class in January 2001 to talk about his job.

I have not, but I would love to. Ideally, I could get the chance to talk to the writers of SNL to learn the strenuous process they have to go through for each skit.
