Why no Temple Guards in the Jester's court?

Forgive me if anyone has asked this before? But does anyone know why they never put a temple guard in the Jester's court?

I think it was because there was no place to hide them.

Really? I mean you figure they could have hollowed out one of the steps (where the left and right paintings were) and put a peephole so he could pop out jack-in-the-box style. Or at the very least (this would be lazy) just have him hanging out in there and when he captures someone just go out the front.

I was surprised there was never a single temple guard encounter in the Jester's Court either. But as TSM said, I think it was because due to the lack of a hiding space for one. Although that didn't mean that they couldn't have put a guard there. I mean look at rooms like the Swamp and Treacherous Holes? All the guards did was hide underneath the foam, its not like they were well hidden.

I always assumed probably due to there not being many good hiding spots in it (if any) and maybe also to give the players some relief as they made their way through the temple.
