Legends: The Rediscovery

Episode 57px]

The camera maneuvers through a thick rainforest to stop in front of an ancient temple.  A giant stone head next to the gate of the temple begins to speak:
"LEGENDS OF THE HIDDEN TEMPLE! With your guide, Kirk Fogg! And here he is NOW!"

On this final word, Kirk appears from behind the Temple Guard door in the Dungeon and runs straight out into the foreground of the stage to greet the crowd. "Thank you! Thank you very much! Nice to see you! Nice to see you, Olmec! Welcome to Legends of the Hidden Temple.  The rooms are filled with lost treasures that are protected by mysterious Mayan Temple Guards.  Only Olmec knows the legend behind each of the treasures in his temple.  Which legend are we gonna hear about today?"

Olmec replies:
"The Legend of the Wanted Poster of the Gentleman Bushranger."

"Oh, the Wanted Poster of the Gentleman Bushranger!" Kirk says in response. "Well the legend is set, and one of the six teams will have the chance to retrieve the Wanted Poster.  Will it be:
"Austin and Jessie of the Red Jaguars?" the camera pans to each team in order?
"Kevin and Kim of the Blue Barracudas,
"Tyler and Bianca of the Green Monkeys,
"Ben and Christine of the Orange Iguanas,
"Jake and Selina of the Purple Parrots,
"Or Norman and Sara of the Silver Snakes?"

"They'll have to pass some tough physical and mental tests," Kirk says, "and in the end, only one team will earn the right to enter Olmec's Temple.  But first, they must cross the Moat, and here's how they'll have to do it today:
"Now in front of each team there's three floating glaciers in the Moat.  When I say go, one player from each team will run over the glaciers to the other side of the Moat.  Then once he?s across, his partner'll run across the glaciers to the other side, but if a player touches the ice with a part of a body other than their feet, they?ll have to go back and start again."
"As soon as the second player steps onto the deck, it's his job to run over here and hit the gong." He slams down on the Red Jaguars' gong to demonstrate. "The first four teams to hit their gongs will go on to the Steps of Knowledge.  Teams? are you ready?"
The players all cheer and shout in response.
"Olmec, are you ready?" asks Kirk.
"Roger dodger," Olmec asks back.
"All right," Kirk says with a laugh. "On your mark, get set, GO!"

?There they go? Woah, Red Jaguars!? The teams take off, but the boy on the Red Jaguars stumbles almost immediately on the first iceberg and has to start over.  The Green Monkeys and Silver Snakes take a lead; the Orange Iguanas are relatively slow.  As soon as the first members get across, the second players start to go for the other side; the same members retain the lead.
?There, we got our first two teams!? Kirk comments as the girls on the Green Monkeys and Silver Snakes hit their gongs at almost the exact same time. ?We need two more? and it?s the Blue Barracudas! We need one more team, who?s it gonna be?? The other teams are still struggling across at about the same rate; it?s a close match between the Orange Iguanas and the Purple Parrots.
?And that?s it!? Kirk shouts as the fourth gong is heard, and the camera shows him with the Blue Barracudas in front of their gong. ?Blue Barracudas swam across the Moat no problem.  Going on to the Steps of Knowledge, along with the Green Monkeys?? the camera briefly shows each qualifying team? ?and the Purple Parrots? and the Silver Snakes! The Red Jaguars and the Orange Iguanas gave it a gallant effort.  They?re not gonna go away empty-handed, we got a great gift for them for playing and here?s what it is.? Austin, Jessie, Ben and Christine will each be receiving a sports package provided by Regent.

Rediscovery EP: The Wanted Poster of the Gentleman...
« Reply #1 on: June 30, 2009, 08:11:36 PM »
The four teams are now at the top of the Steps of Knowledge accompanied by Kirk. "As the quest continues, it?s time for Olmec to tell us about the Legend of the Wanted Poster of the Gentleman Bushranger.  Pay attention, teams, because your knowledge of the Legend can bring you a step closer to Olmec's Temple."
Olmec begins to tell the legend:
"If there?s any proof even the smartest can turn to a life of crime, it?s Matthew Brady.  He was born in England and served as a crafty corporal in the military.  When he was caught for forgery, however, he was arrested and shipped out to Australia.
" 'I don?t deserve this,' he thought to himself.  So Matthew escaped the prison he was put in there and roamed Australia as a bushranger? an Australian outlaw.  But what set him apart was that he was always nice to women; everyone called him the 'Gentleman Bushranger.' One day Governor Arthur had had enough.
" 'That man is a menace!' he declared. 'I?m gonna have his head, you wait and see!'
"So he started putting out wanted posters for the Gentleman Bushranger, but the Gentleman Bushranger had his own plan.  Legend has it he went to talk to a woman named Corinne.
" 'Pardon me, ma?am, but would you mind helping me out with something?'
" 'Oh? I?d love to,' Corinne blushed.
"With Corinne?s help, the Gentleman Bushranger had made wanted posters for Governor Arthur to come see him, offering the person who could bring the governor to him twenty gallons of rum.  The plan backfired; the Bushranger was caught, and the first of the posters asking for Governor Arthur ended up in the Temple.  Your quest is to retrieve the Wanted Poster of the Gentleman Bushranger and bring it here."

"Thanks Olmec," Kirk says after Olmec finishes telling the legend. "So, tell us, where is that Wanted Poster?"
Olmec replies:
"The Wanted Poster of the Gentleman Bushranger can be found in the SHRIIINE of the Silver Monkey." The camera zooms in on the Wanted Poster on the shelf next to the middle part of the monkey statue, then fades back to Kirk.

"Teams," Kirk begins, walking down the steps, "you're now standing on the Steps of Knowledge, and in a minute, Olmec will ask you a question.  If you think you know the answer, stomp down on that ancient marking in front of you.  If you're right, you'll move down to the next level, but if you're wrong or run out of time, I'm gonna give the other teams a chance to answer.  The first two teams to make it to the bottom level will be one step closer to Olmec's Temple.  Olmec, we?re now ready for your first question."

Olmec begins:
?Is a bushranger a: Wild West outlaw, Australian outlaw or Austrian outlaw??
Bianca hits the marking first: ?Austrian outlaw? Wait a second!?
?Incorrect,? Olmec replies before Bianca can try again.
Selina stomps down: ?Australian outlaw.?
?Correct,? answers Olmec.
?Nice job, Purple Parrots, take a step down,? says Kirk, and the Purple Parrots move down to the second step. ?Sorry, Green Monkeys, we have to take your first answer.  Olmec, next question.?
Olmec asks:
?Was the Gentleman Bushranger???
Selina rings in again: ?Um? He was nice to women???
?That is not one of the three choices,? answers Olmec. ?Was his real name: Matthew Brady, Tom Brady or Wayne???
Sara gongs in: ?Matthew Brady???
?Correct,? answers Olmec.
?Silver Snakes, step down,? Kirk says, and the Silver Snakes follow his requests. ?Teams, you might wanna let Olmec finish the question first.  Next question.?
Olmec asks:
?Did the Gentleman Bushranger get his name because: He never fought with his hands, He was always polite to women???
Sara stomps in again: ?He was nice to women!?
?That is correct,? answers Olmec, and the Silver Snakes move down again.
?There?s that ?Nice to women? answer!? Kirk comments. ?Silver Snakes one step away from the Temple Games, but we?re looking for two teams.  Next question, Olmec.?
Olmec now asks:
?The Gentleman Bushranger was sent to a penal colony in Australia for crimes where he was born.  Was this colony: New South Wales, New Netherland or New Eng???
Selina stomps down first and answers: ?New South Wales.?
?That is correct,? answers Olmec.
?Purple Parrots now one step away from the Temple Games,? says Kirk as the Purple Parrots join the Silver Snakes on the penultimate step, ?but the Blue Barracudas and the Green Monkeys can still make it in.  Next question.?
Next, Olmec asks:
?Which of these was the official the Gentleman Bushranger kept avoiding: Governor Arthur, President Arthur or General MacAr???
Sara gongs in: ?Governor Arthur???
?That is correct!? shouts Olmec, and the Silver Snakes jump down onto the last step and high-five excitedly.
?Nice job! We got our first team going on to the Temple Games; it?s the Silver Snakes!? announces Kirk. ?We need one more team; who?s it gonna be: the Blue Barracudas, Green Monkeys or Purple Parrots? Olmec, continue.?
Olmec does so by asking:
?When Governor Arthur put up wanted posters looking for the Gentleman Bushranger, did the Gentleman Bushranger: Come out of hiding, Challenge Governor Arthur to a showdown or Put up wanted posters looking for Governor Arthur??
After some hesitation, Bianca answers: ?He put up? wanted posters???
?Correct,? answers Olmec after a brief pause.
?Green Monkeys on the board!? comments Kirk, and the Green Monkeys move down to the second step. ?Blue Barracudas can get in this.  Olmec, next question.?
Olmec asks:
?According to our legend, was the lady who helped him with the wanted posters named: Colette, Corinne or Cassandra??
Jake stomps in: ?Uh? Corinne???
?That is correct!? shouts Olmec, and the Purple Parrots jump down beside the Silver Snakes.
?There we are! We got our two teams right here!? Kirk comments, getting behind the two qualifying teams. ?The Purple Parrots and the Silver Snakes! Blue Barracudas, Green Monkeys, come on down here.? The other two teams step down as the Purple Parrots and Silver Snakes can be seen congratulating one another. ?You guys gave it a great effort too.  We got a nice gift for you both and here?s what it is.? Kim, Tyler, Kevin and Bianca will each be receiving a $50 U.S. Savings Bond provided by Nestle.
The camera cuts back to Kirk standing between the Silver Snakes and Purple Parrots on the bottom of the Steps of Knowledge. ?We?ll see these two teams playing for the rights to enter Olmec?s Temple,? he says, ?right after this!? The camera pans along the outside wall of the Temple before fading to commercial.

Rediscovery EP: The Wanted Poster of the Gentleman...
« Reply #2 on: June 30, 2009, 08:14:10 PM »
Kirk is now standing between the Silver Snakes and the Purple Parrots in front of the Crystal Cave. ?Welcome back to Legends!? he says. ?Now, the glory goes to the fastest and the strongest, so let?s get to know our team players.? He turns to the camera-left talk to the girl on the Silver Snakes, a cute but short brunette with brown eyes. ?On the Silver Snakes, we have Sara.  How old are you??
?Eleven,? replies Sara.
?Now I understand you like to collect seashells,? Kirk reads off the index card. ?Tell me about that.?
?Well,? explains Sara, ?I go to beaches a lot? I have? maybe a hundred shells.? She smiles.
?You have a favorite?? asks Kirk.
?Yeah,? Sara answers, ?it?s this pink shell that?s all? spirally?? She laughs.
?All right, very nice,? Kirk says as he goes to interview the boy on the far right of the screen, who has average-length dark hair and brown eyes. ?And Norman, how old are you??
?Thirteen,? he replies.
?Now, I understand you do magic tricks,? Kirk reads, his eyes opening a little wider as he finishes the sentence. ?Tell me about that.?
?Well, I?m into guys like Criss Angel and Dynamo,? Norman explains, ?and I just do some basic tricks I figured out from them.  Example: I figured out this one trick Dynamo does where he takes his necklace, and uses it to pull a mint he?s choking on? out of his throat.?
Kirk tries to avoid showing a freaked-out expression. ?Can you show me how to do it in case I need it?? he asks finally.
?Sorry, a magician never reveals his secrets,? replies Norman with a smile.
?Guess I?m on my own, huh?? Kirk laughs. ?Let?s hear it for the Silver Snakes!? The audience applauds, and Kirk turns toward the right side of the screen to talk to the girl on the Purple Parrots, who has reddish hair and blue eyes. ?And on the Purple Parrots, we have Selina.  How old are you??
?Thirteen,? she replies.
?And I understand you like music,? Kirk says. ?Do you play anything??
?Yeah, I play violin,? Selina answers.
?Now, not a lot of people play violin,? Kirk notes, ?but would you say it?s harder than guitar??
?I don?t think so,? replies Selina.
?All right,? Kirk says, moving to talk to the boy on the far right of the screen, who has dark brown hair and green eyes. ?And Jake, how old are you??
?Twelve,? answers Jake.
?And I understand you play football,? Kirk says. ?Tell me about that.?
?Um? it?s just with friends on the weekends,? Jake explains, ?but I play every Saturday and Sunday.  Usually a wide receiver.?
?You like to watch football on TV too?? asks Kirk.
?Yeah,? Jake replies. ?Love the Pats.?
?He?s a fan of the Pats,? Kirk repeats. ?Let?s hear it for the Purple Parrots!? Jake and Selina clap along with the audience.

?You guys ready to play?? asks Kirk.
?YEAH!? The players shout as a reply.
?All right! Go get ready for the Temple Games,? Kirk says, and the players walk offscreen. ?In the Temple Games, each team will be competing for these?" he opens a pouch and pulls out a small gold medallion to show to the camera? "Pendants of Life.  The winning team will need those Pendants to protect themselves from the dreaded Temple Guards as they make their way through the Temple.  There are three Temple Games.  Olmec, tell us about Temple Game #1.?

Olmec begins:
?The Gentleman Bushranger was recognizable throughout Australia, so he sometimes had to be very sneaky with getting around.  In this game, you must take an indirect route through the Australian forest with a torch for light.  When Kirk gives the signal, put your torch behind your head and make your way through the forest.  Whenever you come to two branches, you must find a way to maneuver between or around them, keeping your torch behind your head and both of your hands on it.
?The first player to leave the forest? or the player that?s closest to the end after 60 seconds wins.?
The camera segues to Kirk. ?The forests look just like this in Australia, too,?  he says. ?Not.  Let?s put 60 seconds on the clock.? A countdown clock appears in the bottom-right corner of the screen. ?On your mark, get set, GO!?
Jake and Norman take off and go into their respective forests.  Both players move swiftly, but while Jake is slightly faster than Norman, he noticeably takes a few wrong turns.  After twenty seconds, both players are close to the end, but Jake makes a costly wrong turn and can?t seem to get out.  Norman pulls ahead until he?s out of the forest with an impressive 34 seconds still on the countdown clock.
?That?s it! That was fast!? Kirk announces, running over.  He puts his hand on Norman?s shoulder and talking directly to him. ?Silver Snakes, you pulled it out so fast! You get the half Pendant of Life!? The audience applauds for a moment. ?Purple Parrots can catch up in the next Temple Game, it?s worth a half Pendant.  Olmec, tell us about it.?

Olmec continues:
?According to our legend, when Governor Arthur put up wanted posters looking for the Gentleman Bushranger, the Gentleman Bushranger? with some help from Corinne? made wanted posters of Governor Arthur.  In this game, you will make one last wanted poster.  When Kirk gives the signal, crawl to the first cube, grab one of the poster quadrants, then crawl back with it and place it on the proper space on the board.  Then, go back to get the next quadrant.  Along the way you must try to avoid the swinging obstacles.  If you?re hit, you?ll have to go back and start again.?
?The first player to complete the wanted poster? or the player that?s further along after 60 seconds? wins!?
The camera fades to Kirk. ?It?s speed drawing,? he says. ?Let?s get the sandbags back in position and start swinging them.? The spotters do just that. ?And now let?s put 60 seconds on the clock.? The clock appears in the bottom-right corner of the screen. ?On your marks, get set, GO!?
The game starts off with Selina immediately taking a lead over Sara, who sits back and waits for the opportunity to go on.  Selina grabs the first quadrant of her poster only four seconds in and comes back with it another four seconds later; Sara is only grabbing her first quadrant at that time.  She comes back with it with :46 remaining, while Selina is already heading back with her second.  When Selina places her second quadrant in the proper place on the board, Sara is only just starting out for her second.
?This game takes some careful timing,? Kirk comments. ?It?s not easy, but the Purple Parrots are leading it.? As Selina reaches her third quadrant with :36 left, Sara is hit by a sandbag and has to start over.  However, the same happens to Selina as she tries to make her way back, and the third quadrant is returned to the cube it was placed on.  Once they start up again, both players reach their next poster quadrants with 22 seconds on the clock and try to head back.  Having to travel less, Sara actually makes it back with her second quadrant with :16 left, right before Selina can put her third quadrant on the board.  The players head out one more time; Sara reaches her third quadrant with just four seconds left and can?t bring it back in time, but Selina is hit by a sandbag on her way to the last quadrant.  Time ends shortly after, indicated by a flashing pattern of ceiling spotlights.
?That?s it, time?s up!? Kirk says, appearing onscreen and going over to count the scores. ?C?mon over here!? Selina and Sara join Kirk. ?Silver Snakes got half the poster before time ended, but Purple Parrots got three-quarters of the poster, giving them the half Pendant of Life!? The audience applauds again. ?So it?s all tied up a half a Pendant, we go to the third and final game worth a full Pendant.  Olmec, tell us about Temple Game #3.?

Olmec narrates:
?As a famous outlaw, the Gentleman Bushranger had a lot of enemies.  In this game, you must take his role and fight against the four officers on the wall.  When Kirk gives the signal, lob a cannonball at one of the officers.  Then you partner will place a cannonball in the slingshot and aim at the officers.  You?ll keep alternating like this.
?The first team to knock down all four officers? or the team who?s knocked over the most officers in 60 seconds? wins.?
?It?s all tied up, a half Pendant apiece,? Kirk reminds the audience. ?This is for the Temple Run.  Let?s put 60 seconds on the clock.? The clock appears onscreen, and Kirk steps to the side to avoid getting hit. ?On your marks, get set, GO!?
?Bombs away!? The game starts with the girls taking aim.  Neither hit the targets, but when the boys take over for the first time, Norman knocks over the rightmost target for the Silver Snakes with :54 left.  Though the players come close several times, that?s the only hit for a while; with :39 left on the clock, Sara knocks down the leftmost target on her fourth try overall.
?These teams are tough, they won?t go down without a fight,? Kirk comments as the Temple Game approaches its latter half.  With :31 remaining, Selina knocks down the second-from-left target for the Purple Parrots on her fifth attempt.  With :15 on the clock, she strikes the second-from-right Purple Parrot target? only for it to not fall over.  With six seconds left, however, Jake knocks over the rightmost Purple Parrot target.  In the last seconds, neither team successfully knocks down a third target; when time runs out, the ceiling spotlights flash to indicate time is up.
?All right, time?s up guys!? Kirk announces; Sara ends up launching one more ball before she realizes time is up, and even though it knocks over the left-center target, it?s not in time. ?That one didn?t count, so both teams got two targets.  It?s a tie! Bring out the tiebreaker podiums!?

?Okay, just stand behind there, Purple over there, Silver over there,? Kirk says, and the players follow Kirk?s gestures and stand behind the pedestals. ?Here?s the tiebreaker rules.  In a minute, Olmec will ask you a question.  If you think you know the answer, hit the gong in front of you.  You?ll have three seconds to answer and I must accept your first response.  If you?re right, you and your partner will be going inside the Temple in search of the Wanted Poster of the Gentleman Bushranger, but if you?re wrong or you run out of time, I'll give the other team a chance.  All clear?"
The players nod in response.
"Olmec!" Kirk shouts. "We?re ready for your final question!?

Olmec asks:
?Is the capital of Australia???
Jake hits the gong first: ?Sydney???
?That is incorrect,? replies Olmec, and the Purple Parrots visibly groan.
?All right,? says Kirk. ?Silver Snakes??? He holds the microphone up to the Silver Snakes.
?Can he finish the question?? asks Norman.
?Olmec, finish the question,? Kirk requests.
?Is the capital of Australia: Sydney, Melbourne or Canberra?? repeats Olmec.
?Canberra??? guesses Norman.
After a pause, Olmec replies:
?THAT IS CORRECT!?
?The Silver Snakes got it!? Kirk announces as Norman and Sara hug and jump up and down, spinning in a bit of a circle as they do so. ?They?re going to the Temple!? Kirk then calls Jake and Selina over. ?The Purple Parrots gave it a great effort too.  We got a great gift for them and here?s what it is.? Jake and Selina will each be receiving a copy of How To Eat Fried Worms on DVD.
The camera cuts back to Kirk standing with the Silver Snakes behind the tiebreaker pedestal. ?The Silver Snakes broke the tie, and now we?ll see if they can retrieve that Wanted Poster of the Gentleman Bushranger,? he says, ?right after this!? The camera makes a first-person run down the stairs leaving the Laser Light Room, through the Knights? Barracks and stops at the Wanted Poster in the Shrine of the Silver Monkey before fading to commercial.

Rediscovery EP: The Wanted Poster of the Gentleman...
« Reply #3 on: June 30, 2009, 08:16:28 PM »
Kirk stands in front of the Temple's stairs with his hands on Norman and Sara's shoulders. "Welcome back to Legends!" he says to the camera. "Norman and Sara have proven themselves worthy and earned the right to enter the Temple.  But first, Olmec?s gonna give them some information to help them retrieve the Wanted Poster of the Gentleman Bushranger."
Olmec begins to give the rundown:
?You could start by climbing through the Crevasse and climbing down into the Mine Shaft.  Throw enough rocks into the bucket to lift the slab, then race into the Crystal Cave.  Pull down the correct icicle, and you could choose to go up into the Dragon?s Lair, or into the Junction of the Secret Shafts.  If you escape, you might have a chance to enter the Switch Inferno.  Hit the right actuator to go upstairs, or plow through the wall and into the Abandoned Cave.
?There, climb up the ladder into the Planetarium, and spin the correct sphere to open the door to the SHRIIIIINE of the Silver Monkey, where you can grab the Wanted Poster.  Assemble the statue, and you may be headed for the Knights? Barracks.  Place the sword in the correct sheath, but be careful? one of the suits of armor could be possessed by the spirit of a Temple Guard! If they grab you, you'll have to give up a Pendant of Life! Next, race up to the Laser Light Room, find the right combination to unleash the power of the laser, and run across the Bridge.  Then, pass through the Room of Temple Gongs, race down the stairs and back through the Temple Gate.  The choices are yours and yours alone.? Olmec pauses for a second here. "You won 1 ? Pendants in the Temple Games.  Who's going first??
"I am!" shouts Norman.
"Very well, Norman," replies Olmec as Kirk hands out the Pendants of Life. "When Kirk gives the signal, you'll race through the gates into the Temple and make your way towards the Wanted Poster.  Hidden inside the Temple are three ventilation shafts that let out in the Junction of the Secret Shafts, as well as Temple Guards assigned to protect three specific rooms.  You can trade your Pendant for an extra life and go on, but if you're caught without a Pendant, you'll be taken out of the Temple? and then it'll be Sara's turn to enter and try her luck.  Hidden somewhere inside the Temple is the other half of your Pendant.  If you can find it and you're carrying the other half, you will get an extra life.  If you can reach the Wanted Poster, all the doors of the Temple will instantly unlock, and the Temple Guards will vanish.  Return through the gates with the Wanted Poster of the Gentleman Bushranger in three minutes, and you will both be handsomely rewarded? and here's how!"
?   First, they?re both going to get the Schwinn Mesa mountain bike.
?   If they can grab the Wanted Poster within three minutes, they?re each going to receive camping gear provided by Outdoor Products.
?   And if they can get the Poster out of the Temple before three minutes is up, they?ll both be going to Krystal Cancun! The resort for beach lovers, with excursions to Mayan ruins.  It?s rich in history and rich in pleasure.  Krystal Cancun, for a prize package totaling $13,198!

"Sounds great, let's see if they can get 'em to Mexico!" Kirk says before turning to Sara. "So, Sara, tell me: What?s your strategy?"
"Well," she explains, "we?re gonna go? right across the bottom, then go right up into the Shrine?" She points at the Switch Inferno.
"Up from the Fire Switch Room," Kirk clarifies for the audience.
"Yeah, and then we?ll get the Poster and come back out."
"And where do you think the Temple Guards are?"
"Probably those two rooms on the end there?" Sara points to the Planetarium and Abandoned Cave? "and the center room up there, so? hopefully we won?t run into them."
"Well, let?s see if that works out for you guys," Kirk says. "Good luck.  Norman, let?s get you out in front.  Both of you put your mouthpieces in.  Let?s set the clock for three minutes." The clock appears onscreen. "Lower the gate, Olmec!"
Olmec hums as he lowers the gate.
"On your mark, get set, GO!"

?There he goes! Up into the Temple!? Kirk shouts as Norman runs up the stairs and through the gate. ?He?s got a Pendant, how far can that take him?? He goes down the slide into the Crevasse and scurries across, but his feet are seized by a TEMPLE GUARD!
?Oh no, Temple Guard! Give ?em the Pendant!? Kirk yells out.  After a little struggling to get it off his wrist, Norman gives up his Pendant of Life and hands it over to the Temple Guard with 2:50 remaining.  He tries to go down and through the lower crawl tube into the Mine Shaft, but the Temple Guard himself is shown redirecting Norman toward the other crawl tube.  He climbs back up, hits the actuator and scrambles across the crawl tube to enter the Mine Shaft with 2:42 on the clock.  He climbs down the ladder and sets to work with the room objective instantly.  It takes five rocks in the bucket to lift the stone slab all the way, and Norman hits the actuator for the Crystal Cave with 2:27 left.  He turns to Sara and points right above the doorway? indicating the hidden half Pendant of Life? and then slides through into the Crystal Cave.  However, before he can start in on the objective, out from the corner of the room jumps the second TEMPLE GUARD!
?There, another Temple Guard! Go Sara!? announces Kirk, sending Sara off right after Norman is grabbed with a full 2:23 on the clock. ?She?s only got another half Pendant, so the Temple Guard can?t get her!? Sara runs up the stairs, then slides down into the Crevasse with 2:17 left.  She squeezes through and climbs up, then leaves via the crawl tube for the Mine Shaft with 2:09 remaining.  She jumps down the ladder, jogs through the Mine Shaft and slides into the Crystal Cave with just over two minutes to go.
?Oh, she passed up the half Pendant!? remarks Kirk.  Sara, apparently hearing him, crawls back through the passage and looks around for the half Pendant she missed.  She looks at the door actuator for a second, but it?s not there, so she turns around again and continues on into the Crystal Cave with 1:54.  She jumps up and pulls down the stalactite stage-right of the ladder with both hands.  It happens to be the correct one, and she notices the open door leading onward.  She enters the Junction of the Secret Shafts with 1:48 left, but as she passes through the room, out jumps the final TEMPLE GUARD!
?That?s it!? Kirk announces as the third Temple Guard grabs Sara with 1:45 on the clock; Norman hasn?t even reappeared on stage yet. ?Oh? The Temple Guards really didn?t want them in there, they met them so early and that?s it? These were some strong Silver Snakes.  They still get the mountain bikes, and we gotta get outta here.  Check us out next time for more adventure and another great Legend of the Hidden Temple!?
The credits roll extremely slowly in this episode.  Norman and Sara are brought back into the foreground at the same time.  All the individual rooms of the Temple appear during the credits; a first-person run through the Switch Inferno and then the Abandoned Cave is shown, along with the Imperial Seal of Justinian in the Knights? Barracks.

Rediscovery EP: The Wanted Poster of the Gentleman...

Temple Run Summary
Episode 57px]

Name of Artifact: The Wanted Poster of the Gentleman Bushranger
Season: 2
Layout: 3 (7 overall)
Result: Triple seizure
Time Remaining: 1:45
Team: Silver Snakes
Pendants Won: 1.5
Location of Artifact: The Shrine of the Silver Monkey

Fast, fast, fast.  The Moat took very little time, and the Steps of Knowledge were done after only seven questions.  The player interviews were interesting, and the Silver Snakes, consisting of the cute seashell collector Sarah and the magician Norman, broke the one-and-one-half-Pendant tie to go to the Temple.

The resulting Temple Run was over in very little time.  The Temple Guards appeared as early as possible, and although the team seemed good, one mistake cost them the win.  Norman moved at a fair pace and was evicted from the Temple in only thirty-five seconds.  However, because Sara couldn't find the half Pendant in the Mine Shaft even after going back to look for it, the third Temple Guard ended the run well before the halfway mark.

Trivia and Records:
Obviously, this is the fastest loss in the show's history.  It's also the only episode where a minimum of four rooms were entered.
