I was just wondering what's so great about High school musical. The second one is coming out in like two days and it seems like the whole world is excited about it. Is there anybody who's dreading the day when it comes out like me?

Nothing is great, it's kids that aren't kids and can drive posing as kids in High School that are in College singing. Wowee..

Kids like seeing people older than them do the things they like to do. (Why else would the kids on Barney be so old?)

I was always wondering what was so great about HSM too. The first HSM came out in what, early 06 and to this day its STILL the most popular movie?! Maybe I'm complaining too much about this, but HSM's constant popularity is the reason I quit buying magazines such as J-14, Twist, etc. I was just getting tired of seeing HSM plastered on every single page of every single magazine. Well...thats my 2 cents. lol =P

Oh lord, High school musical. I never quite understood the hype of all of it either. I had to watch that in my theater class last year. Frankly I found it to be a poorly done stereotype of today's high school students, and of course, just like a Disney movie, absolutely everything worked out in the end....

.....although, just between us, I wouldn't mind performing "Stick to your status quo"....

Oh, I remember when the first one came out. For my gym class in 2006, we had two classes that were combined into one, and we would play sports together. Both gym teachers had children ages 5-7, and the adults knew all the words to every high school musical song! They even started singing parts of them one day in class. Sadly, it's one of those memories I'll never forget.

You know, I used to have a ton of respect for Disney. Heck, I still watch those dumb sing-along tapes they used to come out with in the late-80s from time to time! Then around the time Hilary Duff started becoming popular, I began to stop thinking they were cool. High School Musical only made my already-diminished views of Disney sink further.

Although I probably shouldn't complain, as I haven't seen the darn show.

*sigh* at my party yesterday, we decided to watch HSM2 and see how long we could take of it. 27 minutes

Once they did three lip syncing songs, we couldn't handle it, so we went swimming

I had a friend who pointed out to me how ironic it is that this movie is about how great summer is and good it is to be out of school. Yet oddly enough disney releases the movie right when everyone starts to go back to school.

Beside semi-bad acting, 20-something year old actors, and a cheesy plot, its alright.
