Analysis: Two Silver Snakes reached artifacts!  The one that was better was Golden Earring, because the team was much better in a cruel layout. In Sir Edmund Hillary, Tara fucked it up at the end.

Golden Earring gets my vote here. Ladder climbing or not, Ashley and Shem rocked this layout.

Analysis: Two Silver Snakes reached artifacts! The one that was better was Golden Earring, because the team was much better in a cruel layout. In Sir Edmund Hillary, Tara fucked it up at the end.

I disagree, Sir Edmund Hillary's layout was pretty cruel also. Tara and Danny had to take a long path for a Season 1 run. It didn't help that Tara was forced to take the long Well bucket either. Plus, Henry Morgan had a chance at a solo victory while Sir Edmund Hillary did not. Although I agree that Tara kind of blew it more.

With that being said, I also voted for Henry Morgan. This episode was really exciting and memorable all the way through. From the silly legend to the close temple games, it is an episode I could never get tired of watching. And the temple run was very exciting despite Shem and Ashley blowing a solo victory. The ending was very memorable with Ashley and Shem excited for even reaching the Golden Earring. You would've thought they won the grand prize. Sir Edmund Hillary was also a memorable and exciting episode. But it just wasn't as memorable as Henry Morgan. Plus, Tara blew her layout more than Ashley did. Both episodes were great failed escapes, but Henry Morgan was the best of the best.

I just want to say this. Henry Morgan is not a cruel layout at all. I don't know where you got that from. The layout was easy, Ashley blew her chances by NOT taking the Shrine/Forest passage, and Shem blew it by not going directly into the Mandarin Hand Room. Great players, yes. Great run, yes. But the layout was not at all hard. Sir Edmund Hilary's layout was harder. Even if it was Tara's own fault for poor exit plans. Henry Morgan was easy.

And TRJ, you fail to mention how Shem climbing the ladder cost them a chance at victory more. Come on, back me up here.
