Rate the Color Combinations (Temple Games Edition) - Purple vs. Silver

[The Red Jaguars]

What an eyesore of a combination! It had like everything that could possibly be wrong with it. First off, the Blue Barracudas stick out like a sore thumb compared to the other colors. And secondly, the episode selection is just bad. Blackbeard, Alhambra, and Shiva are episodes that I will never watch again. I also like how the Blue Barracudas don't even advance to the temple games once. I am going to give this combo a 2. If it wasn't for Blue Pearl and Bandit Queen, then it would've gotten a lowly 1.

Yeah, I would've given this a 1 too if it weren't for Bandit Queen or Blue Pearl. Seriously, this combination makes me queasy just thinking about it. O_O

And I hate to disappoint everyone, but a lot of the match ups coming up aren't very good either. But I guess you can say these bad match ups would serve for more interesting discussion. Or whatever you want to make of it.

This is one of my least favorite combos, but there are a few that I dislike more, so this gets a 3 from me.

Just wait for the one that Charles Lindbergh uses. That one is filled with nothing but bad episodes.

I gave this combination a 5 because I'm a nice person   

This is one of my least favorite mixes just aesthetically. These colors just don't go together very well. Blue and orange next to each other are what saves it. You can't go wrong with that combo.

A couple pretty good episodes from this grouping, but a few total duds as well. I didn't think I would even go lower than a 6 for any of these, but I will for this one. I know this number is going to seem high to you guys, but for me, this score is low.

I love how we go from an amazing combination with some of the best episodes ever, to a terrible looking combination with some of the very worst episodes on the show. Yay for opposites.

Yeah, you're definitely right. I guess we need some bad color combinations in there. And it does give us something to talk about. Because some of these colors just look hideous together.

I wanted to give this combination a 7. I really did. I enjoy the way these colors look together. And there are a couple notably good episodes here. But this mix gave us Cricket Cage. That's unforgivable and I have to dock it for that. I gave it a 6. But I really do enjoy the colors themselves a lot. If it were just based on that and we didn't take episode quality into consideration at all, I would have gone 8 or 9.

I gave this match up a 5. The colors looked pretty nice together for the most part. Though they looked much better in the Season 3 episodes this combination was used in (Red Sash, Smashed Printing Plate), then it did in Season 1. But what drags it way down for me, was the episode selection. The episodes featured in this pair were literally, either really really good (John Sutter, King Tut, Red Sash), or really really bad, (whatever I didn't just mention). I also didn't like the lack of consistency this combination had. It was way overused in Season 1, not at all in Season 2, and very rarely in Season 3. For such a repetitive combination, you'd think it would appear in more episodes outside of Season 1. But it did give us one amazing episode, being John Sutter. If there's one positive thing I can say.

The colors for this combo were... "meh". 6/8 of the episodes were from Season 1, so the Blue used during that season makes this combo look ugly. And Silver and Purple really don't go together. And the episode selection has two different extremes. I love Lost Gold Mine, Red Sash, Cobra Staff, and           . But I hate Smashed Printing Plate, Mata Hari, and Lucky Pig. Also, this type combination has Golden Cricket Cage.               And like I mentioned, there was too much Season 1 with this combo. And three of the episodes were from the same day. I am going to give this one a 5.

If it helps, Purple advanced 5/8 times with this pair. And episodes like Cricket Cage, Silk Ladder, and Lucky Pig should've been Purple Parrot temple runs as well. Oh yeah, and Smashed Printing Plate. I really wish these combinations were better, but we're definitely getting into the worst territory now. Are there any particular match ups you guys are looking forward to, at all? Just wondering.
