Rate the Color Combinations (Temple Games Edition) - Purple vs. Silver

For sure. Of course it's gonna be expected in something like the tournament with every episode in it. Like, a poll with Annie Taylor vs. Cricket Cage is going to be unanimous, as it should be, lol.

Yeah, I gave it a 7. I like this combination for some reason. I think these colors match up just fine. Different tastes, though.

I just don't like how Red, Green, and Orange look. That's my main problem with it. And Green and Orange together don't look that great either, with some exceptions. Purple is the only thing that saves it, if it's any consolation.

Not at all. On aesthetics alone it would have been at least an 8 from me.

Plus orange and green are the traditional Nickelodeon colors and I love that!

I gave this match up a 6. It's BY FAR better than Red-Green-Orange-Purple, but I still don't like how these colors look together. Plus, this pair was also pretty overused, being the second most common match up on the show. On the flip side, some of the best episodes on the show (Lion Headed Bracelet, Benzibab, Lawrence of Arabia) come from this pair. And the only episodes I REALLY hate on the above list are Bent Shaving Pan and Dried Apple Half. This was an alright combination, but the colors don't go very well together. And that's what drags it down for me.

[The Red Jaguars]

I gave this combo a 7. I am definitely not a fan of the colors at all, but at the same time I don't really hate them either. Not sure the reasoning, but it might be because the Orange and Silver stick out. I do like the episode selection though. Chandragupta, Lawrence of Arabia, Two-Cornered Hat Ruby Earring, and Roland were episodes I really like. Word on Bent Shaving Pan and William Tell. I HATE those episodes with a passion. Despite having a lot of episodes, I like how almost each color has an equal representation for temple teams. I like this combo overall due to the nice episode selection and even distribution among each teams. I also like how all the Orange temple teams beat the Green Monkeys in the temple games.

Also, Silver beat Green both times in the above list. Both Season 3 episodes, and took 2 pendants to the temple. The Green Monkeys also had an excellent track record with this match up. They advanced from it in every episode except for Napoleon. And what a coincidence that we just covered this very same combination in the List Game. That took over a week to finish to boot.

This got a 9 from me.

Chandragupta is my 2nd favorite episode of all time and Laurance of Arabia is probably in my top 5, and Roland is good as well.

There are a couple duds, but other than that it's a really great lineup of episodes plus a few notorious ones. (Shaka Zulu).

And I do enjoy these colors together. Not as much as other combos, but I can't knock that episode selection.

Yeah, there are A LOT of great episodes from this combination. Especially episodes like Lawrence of Arabia and Chandragupta. The colors looked alright together, I especially liked how they looked in Season 3. Must be the lighting. And coincidentally, this pair was used the most in 7 episodes that season. So it does work out.

Red/Green: Roland, Shaka Zulu, Lawrence of Arabia (Two quick Red Jaguar victories to boot)
Red/Orange: Napoleon
Green/Orange: Dead Man's Hand, Empress Theodora, Bent Shaving Pan, Thornwood Gavel (3/4 being Orange Iguana runs)
Green/Silver: Chandragupta, Dried Apple Half, Benzibab, Poseidon

Green/Orange and Green/Silver occurred the most with this match up. And 7/12 episodes were 2 pendant runs. Yay random stats.

Really dislike the colors, but it has some good episodes so it gets a 4.

I gave this match up a 7. I really like these colors together, even though it's not the greatest looking pair in the world. The Green and Purple definitely save it from being a complete eyesore. Also, this combination had a GREAT selection of episodes here, Applewood Amulet, Snakeskin Boots, Freydis, and Metal Beard to name a few. Also, all three Purple Parrot victories come from this match up too. Which is a very interesting coincidence. So it gets bonus points for me for that alone. The only bad episodes on this list are Golden Goblet, Nzinga, and Golden Spider Web. But the rest of the episodes here average to just great. This was a nice combination overall.
