“Now,” says Kirk, “the glory goes to the fastest and the strongest, so let’s meet our team players. On the Red Jaguars, we have Roslyn. How old are you Roslyn?
"Thirteen," says the girl as Kirk holds up the microphone up to her mouth.
"And your partners' name is Max. How old are you Max?
"Twelve," says the boy standing next to Roslyn.
"Lets hear it for the Red Jaguars!" yells Kirk.
"Now we cant forget about the Green Monkeys, over here we have Tia." says Kirk
"How old are you Tia?" asks Kirk
"Eleven" replies the girl
"And your partner is Ted, How old are you?" replies Kirk
"Twelve," replies the boy confidently.
"Now lets hear it for the Green Monkeys!" yells Kirk again.
“Why don’t you girls get ready for the first Temple Game, and the guys go over there for the second. Now,” he says, facing the camera, “let me tell you what’s going to happen here. In the Temple Games, teams are competing to win Pendants of Life. The winning team will need those Pendants to protect themselves from the dreaded Temple Guards when they go into Olmec’s Temple. There are three Temple Games, and Olmec… tell us about Temple Game #1.”
Olmec begins:
"Dumisani had to disarm many soldiers in the war against the explorers in England, you will be doing the same. Both players start out with a boulder on each side of the playing field. When Kirk gives the signal you will roll the boulder towards the oppenents soldiers on the otherside of the field. But be carefull if you cross the line the point will not count towards the total amount. The first one to disarm all the soldiers or the one farthest along in 60 seconds wins."
As Olmec finishes Kirk says, "This means war, lets put 60 seconds on the clock!" As they did this Kirk then says "Ready, Set, Go!"
Both players rush forward to roll the first boulder, but Roslyn gets to it before Tia. She sends it toward the marker furthest to the left, when Tia tried to block it but missed so Roslyn gets a point for knocking it down. As Roslyn is on the other side of the field Tia sends a boulder to the far right but as she pushed it she stepped over the line. Still keeping the score the same. After that Roslyn knocks down one more and Tia knocks down 2 before the lights flash ending the game.
“Okay, let’s see how the teams did!” Kirk says, running into the center of the battlefield as the spotters around it stop the boulders. " The Red Jaguars knocked down two and so did the Green Monkeys! Both get the Half Pendant of Life!" The audience applauds again, then Kirk continues. " Lets go to the second temple game, Olmec please tell us about temple game number 2."
As Kirk runs over to the next game Olmec explains: " When in the Army the soldiers would have to be in perfect shape to fight in wars. In this game there are two spining platforms, each contestant will start turning the platforms as fast as they can. Once doing that they need to stay on as long as possible, if you fall off then get back on. The player with the most rotations in the 60 seconds wins.
As Olmec finishes, Kirk says "Alright boys get on the platform. Ready, Set, Go!"
Both boys start turning the platform at the same pace and eventually Max started picking up speed to get ahead of Ted by at least one rotation. When Ted try to pick up speed he ended up falling off of the platform and was slow to get back up. After that everything was the same until the lights flashed indicating the end of the game.
As it ended Kirk says "Alright lets see what the teams did this time, the Red Jaguars had 15 rotations and the Green Monkeys only had 11."
"The Red Jaguars get the Half Pendant of Life! Lets go to our last game!"
As Kirk gets there he says "Alright Olmec tell us about the last temple game."
Olmec explains: " Not only did the soldiers have to be in good shape running wise. They also had to know how to ride horses also, in this game each team member will be on the same horse as the other partner. The team that stays on the longest or the one with the most team members on wins."
Once Olmec was finished, Kirk says, "This is for the Temple!" as he informs the crowd, then he says "Ready, Set, Go!"
On the word "go" the spotters in the middle of both sides started to shake and role the "horses" on both sides of them. As time went by (around 15 seconds) Tia fell off of the horse. When this happened Kirk in the play-by-play "Ohh, one of the Green Monkeys is out can Ted hold on until the end?" It stayed the same for about thirty seconds until there was 15 seconds left. At that time Ted finally fell off of the horse. Kirk shouts "It's over! Both players of the Green Monkeys couldnt stay on so that means the Red Jaguars have 2 full pendants and the Green Monkeys only have a half, so the Red Jaguars are going to the temple!" Kirk paused so that crowed could give an applause.
Once done with the applause, Kirk then says "The Green Monkeys did a great job, they are not going away empty handed and heres what they get!"
Both Ted and Tia both get a $100 savings bond from nestle
