Software/Server discussion

First off, I apologize for everything that's gone on the last few days. I tried to change software, but that didn't really work out (changing to MyBB and phpBb resulted in too many bugs, and the FluxBB converter wouldn't work properly). Thus, back to square one!

Anyhow, on to the main point of this topic: With everything that has gone on in the past week or so, I really don't want your board-viewing experience to be hampered by all this downtime and such. And since I'm starting to run low on ideas, I want to hear your ideas! Suggest a new host, a new software, or even something I could do with the existing forum to cut down on the slowness and downtime, really, anything that can help the board can be posted here. Let your voice be heard!

I'm fresh out of ideas. What I think we should do is go back to the host that we had before the crappy one (the one where we had a poll to voice our opinion on host satisfaction on a scale of 1-5, don't go back to that one). I don't think the host before that one had as many problems.

Yeah, I'm really of the mind that Forumer is the lesser of two evils now.  Hell, I forgot what a good chunk of Forumer's problems were, and I'd probably take them over the massive downtime issues here.

Back to Forumer. Though things aren't running half bad now, unless I missed something again. But if things STILL don't show improvement, back to Forumer. Maybe this time we won't have negative feelings about our old server.

What about vBulletin? Don't know if you guys want to pay the yearly license for it but it's a very good system.

Yeah, I would rather go on a FREE server. I will personally leave if we have to pay, unless TSM is the only one that would pay.

Yeah, I don't have any intention of paying for anything. Not to say that vBulletin, IPB, etc. are bad, but $150 for forum software is a ripoff, IMO.
