Virus in the forum, maybe?

When I tried logging in just now, it logged me out again and again until I checked the automatic log in box, and when I tried posting just now, it asked me to resubmit again and again and again and again....... until it logged me out.

What's wrong with this forum??????

Sounds like a typical Forumer Fuck-up to me dude!

I haven't experienced this. Either there's a problem with Forumer, or something's awry with your cookies settings.

I'm actually leaning towards the latter? if all cookies for the forum are disabled for a long time for whatever reason, it's impossible to log in.  This happened to me on a couple sites when I tried to clean up all the cookies I was taking in (80% or so had to be from sites I'd never heard of), so it's certainly not impossible.  I'm not sure whether a bug could've gone in and disabled cookies for the forum by itself, though...

I remember having something like this a long time ago. I had no idea it was back until I experienced it last night and this morning. I don't know how to fix this.

An e-mail from TBF that he wanted me to copy here, received about a half-hour following his post above:

I send this email to you because, as I posted in the Moat thread entitled "Virus in the forum, maybe?" by Red Jaguars Fan, I have been unable to log in. I appear under the "Who is online?" box on the index, but am essentially still logged out and cannot post messages. If you've seen me last night after the few posts I made, or this morning, or even now, I'm not actually logged in, rather, when I click log in, it makes my name show up there, but I am still left logged out. Occasionally, I am able to log in, and I am redirected to the index as per usual, but the moment I navigate to somewhere else in the forum, I am automatically logged out.

Anyway, until this problem is fixed (or it goes away), whenever that will be, I clearly won't be posting on the forums.

If Phantom does actually ask if a move is in order, please give him a vote on me for a move. If this problem is going to be something permanent, I want to at least still be able to post, even if we lose all our threads. Of course, it's much better if we can save them by copying the database.

I'd have to second this.  Most of the other forum bugs, while annoying, didn't get in the way quite as much as this one does.

I have been experiencing this as well since Friday night. This is ridiculous.

Maybe I'm going out on a limb here, but has anyone noticed that problems with this forum ALWAYS seem to occur on weekends?
