I believe the three episodes with the spoken disclaimer were "The Helmet of Genghis Khan", "The Stone Marker of Leif Erikson", and "The Dragon Lady and the Blue Pearl". Correct me if I'm wrong.

Now, does anyone have a theory or something to why these episodes are so special and require a spoken disclaimer instead of the usual small golden text displayed in almost every Season 2 and Season 3 episodes, or just leave it out in Season 1? Season 1 can't possibly have so many completely un-edited episodes, can it?

IIRC, one of those episodes had a really weird font used on the copyrights too. Can anyone tell me which one was that?

The one with the unusual font was the Stone Marker episode.  I have no idea what could've been edited out or why.

Ah, yes, how could I forget the only time a guard hid in The Bamboo Forest?

It strikes me weird though. I'd see more reason to use that kind of disclaimer in "The Golden Cup of Belshazzar" or something. The editing in those three episode was quite good; I didn't see any evident editing in any. Still, it's kind of random to just use it on three episodes. And one of them has some weird font only used in one episode's credit scroll.

That disclaimer usually means there was a complete stopdown in production, and there was a break in taping that was edited out.
