Question for Forum Staff!!!

Now I know that over at ClassicNickShows.Info that All staff members can issue Bans. But what about here? I'm already painfully aware of Phantom's ability to Ban members. But can Ed and RP ban Members as well? Please inform me, Forum Staff!

Also, along those lines, could Ed ban RP?

Oh, okay Ed. Thanks for explaining that to me. I was under the Impression that the post that You posted a while back that said:

One question. What's the difference between a mod & a super mod (well, besides one rank )? I always wondered that.

Ah, that is a good question. There isn't actually a difference except for the rank name. Although, I could bully around RP if I wanted.  I suppose you could see super mods as "mods of mods."

Implied that:
A. You had the Ability to Ban Members
B. That you could Ban RP if you really wanted to. (Which you don't)

P.S. Entering quotes from scratch gives me a headache. (The Topic that the quote above With Olmec and Ed in it is locked, so I couldn't simply copy and paste)

Correct.

Ed's higher level comes from the fact that he helped get Phantom's Temple off the ground by advertising from The King's Storeroom. (Again, I don't think I thank you enough, you've been good to me Ed)

As far as the banning process goes. We leave it up to a 3 way vote, and even still, if one of us is undecided about a ban, we hear it out.

The only time we decide on a temp-ban or full-ban is when all three of us agree that it is for the best.

Yes, The Silver Snake was a Temple Guard in the first few months of our Legends forum. He helped judge the first contest as well.

Somewhere near the end of 2006 or the start of 2007, he mentioned that he did not have enough time to contribute to the forum anymore and politely stepped down from his position as a Temple Guard.

I have not heard from him in quite some time......

But the fact is, Ed's position remains where it is due to his large contributions to the forum and helping us get to where we are today.

I appreciate having both Ed and Renegade as mods, together they both show two different view points for the issues we discuss.

I have to say that I might have partaken into what led to T_E asking about bans. A while back, he found out that I wanted a CNS account, so he PM me to help me out, but eventually I was banned to have an account over there. So I was so confused about it and I just said, "Screw it." It was all because I could download episodes of GUTS to help TBF with his website.

Here, we tend to suspend members only if they directly disobey a warning that we give, so it's not like you guys should be worrying about this too much. Besides, we haven't had to suspend or ban a non-spambot in the last twenty-three months. *knock on wood*

Well I have to say that this community of members seems to be sincere and have a little-knit group that understand what we're saying without the use of tone of voice with exception of the Jesters Court, but at least we're happy enough to know.

Classic Nick Shows isn't the best website. It seems like tons of people get banned there, and the people don't look too friendly either.

But that's off topic lol. I believe Kamehameha was the only one on the forums that got banned??

Well I have read some of the threads at CNS and I have to say that they seem to not be as responsible and have the authoritative to control the system and sometimes its members. It could the lack of relationship between the mod/admin and the member. It could be the reason why we mostly get along together.

so here is what T_E said about me apparently being banned on CNS on Private Message. I have to say this, but I understand what the problem is at CNS, but I rather not contact the mods/admin over there.

Look, Toltendo, I'll put it straight and clear! If you're banned on CNS, unless the Mods or Admins said that your ban is for a predetermined length of time, then you're banned for good!

Also, if you're already banned, then why not inform me of this point before I went off and made myself look stupid to 2 of the Mods, including Site Owner Johnny!!! If you've been banned and try to register again, it's called a Ban Evasion, and that'll earn you a Permaban, dude!
