Surprised no one here brought up the Steve clip from a while back.

Yeah… I don’t think this is going to last another season let alone three. Way too much like a reality show. Which is a shame because it could’ve done well. I feel like it’s trying way too hard to be like other shows. It did keep some of the charm of the old show from the 90’s but it’s going to take some time for me to get used to it. The two pendant thing should be changed because now there is no point in having three temple guards, heck they are better with having no pendants and one guard at that point.

It’s not that you can only be in California it’s more do I want to go to California in a pandemic? I have not left Minnesota since February last year.

Though if there was no Pandemic Id sign up in a heartbeat.

So are you willing to apply to be a Purple Parrot like how I applied to be a Green Monkey?

After reading through that article, I hate to say it, but I'm most likely gonna pass on this opportunity. The "Can you comfortably swim 200’ (feet) without assistance?" part would deny me a chance to be on the show because I can't swim. At least not very well anyway. Also, this show is taking place in LA and I basically live on the other side of the country. I'm not willing to travel that far.

I'd love to be on the show, but I don't think I'm cut out for it. I'm just not fit and it sounds like this version is gonna be more physically demanding than early Legends.

If only I was closer. Would’ve been cool to have been on this show. Glad to see it’s coming back.

I like how posting is back and we're not doing much with it, lol.

So anyway, who else has gotten a covid shot? I'm getting two. I've already gotten one. I'll get my 2nd shot next week. Can't wait to have another sore arm. :(

Just got mine on Tuesday

I feel if the Browns situation gets even worse than it already is then they should cancel all 6 games and push them back. In addition they should create a bubble in Florida considering the Super Bowl is there. The AFC teams can settle in Tampa (to avoid Bucs home field advantage) and the NFC teams in Miami and you can use Jacksonville and maybe Orlando for the Wild Card Weekend as well. You could play Colts Bills and Ravens Titans in Tampa, Rams Seahawks and Bears Saints in Miami, Bucs Washington and Browns Steelers in Jacksonville. The Chiefs and Packers would then fly down or if having additional time off along with the week they would have, they would then play the Dolphins and Cardinals respectfully. In that case Browns Steelers and Dolphins Chiefs would play in Orlando while Bucs Washington and Cardinals Packers would play in Jacksonville. The winners of the games in Orlando and Jacksonville would go to Tampa and Miami respectfully. The Super Bowl would still be played in Tampa.

I haven’t left the state since last February so I would hope to see family again soon. I also want to get to some football and hockey games. Lastly, I hope to go out to dinner again and hopefully do so with a girlfriend. Sucks being single during a pandemic.

We’ve been summoned again

For the first time ever, all of our teams are in the playoffs!

I’ll start with my Packers, because why not. We got the number 1 seed in a very tight race. Wins against the Saints, Titans, and a sweep of the Bears helped big time and Aaron Rodgers is posting insane numbers even for his standards. He will probably receive the MVP for a third time and I’m hoping the Lombardi comes home.  :mryellow:

Saints are probably our biggest threat in the conference. Yes we beat them early on but they got better after that. Hopefully Kamara will recover from COVID in time because they will need him. Drew Brees is getting old and did get hurt at one point. Mormon Tebow Taysom Hill has been a secret weapon a couple years now so not all hope is lost.

Seahawks are letting Russ cook and it is showing. Probably his best year yet and proving he belongs in the top tier of QBs. Defense a far cry from the Legion of Boom era that got them a title, but I see them contending big time.

Ah yeah the NFC Least hit peak shit this year  . It was so bad a team with no name won it. That being said Alex Smith and Ron Rivera have been major feel good stories this year recovering from a severe leg injury and cancer at one point. Unfortunately they were the shiniest of four turds and will not go far.

Brady has turned the Bucs into a legit contender. As the highest wild card they get a de facto bye for drawing Washington. After that good luck with the likes of the others. Bucs did get a win against the Packers but also got swept by the Saints, and also have losses to the Chiefs, Rams, and Bears. A consistent team would be dangerous for the rest because as long as Brady is here, he will probably do what he normally does.  Also Super Bowl Home Team Curse will eventually strike so...

Rams are the one team I can’t figure out. Are they good or bad? Goff got injured in the penultimate game but the Rams did enough to beat out the Cardinals and get in the playoffs. When they lost to the Jets I lost all hope here. They will probably get crushed in Seattle

Bears do not belong. They back doored into the playoffs. I don’t want to talk about them, they are probably the most boring team in this playoffs. They will get destroyed by the Saints.

Onto the AFC, and the Chiefs are still the team to beat. You will have to play the perfect game in order to outsmart them. A lot of their wins lately were close and there were some that the Chiefs should’ve lost but didn’t. Mahomes is picking up where he left off and a victory would cement possible dynasty status for Kansas City. Aka New England 2.0

However I think the biggest threat to them is TSM’s Bills. If I wasn’t bias toward my Packers I would pick the Bills to win it all. No team is hotter, Allen is on fire, and picking up Diggs gave them a major boost. I really want to see the Bills do well for their fans.  If it wasn’t for a fluke Hail Mary, this team would come in on a ten game winning streak. You have been warned.

PP319’s Steelers started off 11-0 then lost 4 of 5 to end the year including crucial losses to the Bills and Browns and a really confusing loss to the Bengals. They need to return to their early season form if they want to win a seventh title.

Titans have been one of the most fun teams to watch. King Henry dominated the entire league by rushing over 2k yards and was over 500 yards over the next closest running back this year. After they had a Cinderella run to the AFC Championship last year this team is no joke. They are for real.

TRJ’s Ravens are also coming in hot. I would not want to face them right now. Lamar Jackson is playing like his MVP self from last season and the team is on a 5 game winning streak. A perfect opportunity awaits to get revenge on Tennessee from last year.

Guys, this is not a drill... THE BROWNS ARE IN THE PLAYOFFS  . I’m so happy for the Dawg Pound after suffering from 18 years of some of the shittiest football I have ever seen including a winless year just three seasons ago. A new coach, and Baker Mayfield having his best season has put the Browns into contention, something I never thought I would say.

Then there are the Colts. Phillip Rivers is trying to go for one last chance to get a title and he will have to do it the hard way and go on the road the entire time. Jonathan Taylor has replicated his performance from Wisconsin and combined with a great defense has put the Colts on the right track.

Who didn’t make it? Dolphins got hosed by a screwed up format that allowed Washington in but not them. Cardinals collapsed big time including two losses to backups to end the year. 49ers suffered from so many injuries. Vikings and Texans regressed, and... We will have a Patriot free Playoffs!

Also Fuck the entire NFC East just because I feel like it.

The Heart Room / Re: Scorecard rating for every contestant on Legends
« on: October 01, 2020, 10:41:51 PM »
So some fun facts

Best Team: Taylor & Becca (The Helmet of Genghis Khan): 132 Points
Worst Team: Christopher & Keeli (The Stone Marker of Leif Erickson): 60 Points

Best Team: Tony & Jennifer (The Belly Button of Buddha): 141 Points (tied for best all time)
Tied Worst Team: Scott & Kristen (The Lucky Pig of Amelia Earhart): 47 Points (tied for worst all time)
Tied Worst Team: Aaron & Terry-Kay (The Treasure Map of Jean Lafitte): 47 Points (tied for worst all time)

Best Team: David & Candace (Lawrence of Arabia’s Headdress): 138 Points
Worst Team: Dean & Chrystine (The Lost Taj Mahal Turban of Aurangzeb): 49 Points

Best Team: Jason & Elizabeth (The Levitating Dog Leash of Nostradamus): 136 Points
Worst Team: Judge & Katie (The Lily Crested Crown of Clovis I): 51 Points

Best Team: Tony & Kelly (The Snakeskin Boots of Billy the Kid): 139 Points
Worst Team: Brian & Gracelyn (The Sacred Ring of Sultan Suleiman): 56 Points

Best Team: Jeremy & Erica (       ): 141 Points (tied for best all time)
Worst Team: Michael & Emily (The Missing Eye of David): 48 Points

The top 32 teams were the only ones who won their temple run

David & Karisa (Me Linh) were the only team who got the artifact that ranked behind a team that didn’t (actually the ranked behind two teams). If they didn’t get to the King’s Storeroom, they would’ve been tied for the worst team ever.

Season 1 teams were 4 of the top 5

The highest ranking team in Season 3 didn’t make the top 10 teams overall or the top 10 teams before the run that season (Sor Gawain team finished 12th in each list)

More to come

The Heart Room / Re: Ranking Every Temple Run (Original Series)
« on: October 01, 2020, 10:29:36 PM »
Yeah this is why coming up with a set score for the Temple run on mine was extremely hard. Not every layout is the same and some teams could have a super easy path and some could have an insanely difficult path. Plus the fact that each season was different rooms made it extremely difficult to treat every team fairly so I just went with the core points. Also 100 pts for assembling the Monkey would be impossible if the artifact is in the Shrine.
Personally, I feel that team wins should hold more weight than solo wins. While solo wins are an impressive feat, these temple runners have a slight benefit of not having to worry about their partners retracing their steps. With team wins, the second player loses time retracing their partners steps. And not all temple wins had the chance at a solo win either - Lost Hornpipe, Galileo, Lost Gold Mine, Levitating Dog Leash, and Metal Beard all had temple layouts where solo wins were not possible.

There are runs that were also meant to be solo wins mostly (as long as runner enter the right starting room I guess) most notably Chandragupta. Also I feel Shaka Zulu should not receive as much points as they did because of the error allowing them so much time at the end.
