Brett Favre Has Been Traded!!!
« on: August 06, 2008, 10:52:30 PM »
Brett Favre has been traded to the New York Jets in exchange for a "conditional draft pick"!!!

I, being a Bucs fan that lives in Tampa Bay, am REALLY disappointed. I wanted to see what he could offer the Bucs.

What do you think about this Fiasco? Please post your opinions and vote in the poll.

Well I can't wait until all of this Brett Favre drama is finally over.  If he says he's going to retire for a couple of months and then come back, I think he should go wherever they send him.

Also, Here are the terms of the "Conditional draft pick" that the Packers will receive for Favre:

Right now, It would be a 4th round pick in the 2009 NFL draft, and would go up rounds based on Favre's performance with the Jets this season.

If Favre plays at least 50% of the offensive snaps for the Jets this season, the pick becomes a 3rd round pick.
If Favre plays at least 70% of the offensive snaps for the Jets this season & the Jets make the playoffs, the pick becomes a 2nd round pick.
If Favre plays at least 80% of the offensive snaps for the Jets this season & the Jets make it to the Super Bowl in Tampa, the pick becomes a 1st round pick.

Also, if the Jets trade Favre to the Vikings, then they would owe the Packers 3 1st round draft picks.

I am getting so, so sick of everybody hyping up this guy. Please! We get it! He's coming back from retirement. But news stations can't say just that; they have to come in with live, breaking reports where they show him get off an airplane. I don't care! I really, really, don't care about this guy! I understand he's a very good football player, but his return is being treated like the second coming. It's ridiculous.

The Packers have a right to do whatever they want; with that said, they still dismissed him perhaps a tad rudely. I answered "Somewhat Acceptable."
