lol did anyone catch that today? "judges ruling"
« on: September 17, 2007, 08:31:02 PM »
the blue barracudas somehow got replaced by the silver snakes due to a "judge ruling"

it happened on the first ep shown today, the blue barracudas finished 4th on the moat to supposedly go on to the steps of knowledge, after the prize promotion(nestle quick lols) the camera quickly goes back to kirk and the silver snakes, with kirk stating something like "oooh actually its (the first 3 teams) and by the judges ruling the silver snakes, not the blue barracudas are going on to the steps of knowledge"  did anyone catch why that was so? my first thought was maybe the 2nd barracuda that made it across got worn out and sick or something(trying too hard to win, lol) as they appeared when they finally made it across, but then they shoulda said something more like "for insurance reasons, the silver snakes are now going on to the steps of knowledge" lols, but im also thinking maybe it was something else not caught well on camera(like cheating).  But ya has that ever been used in other episodes, the "judges ruling". haha

I see a silver snake trying to get out of the moat like he was all the way across and the spotter telling him to go back... but he was IN the moat.. that would have disqualifyed him right? The only thing i notice of the blue baracudas is they dropped their feet, and they ALMOST touched the water, but pulled them back up. so i dunno.

It's always hard to determine due to how much extensive editing was done to moats, although if the Blue Barracudas were disqualified, they'd emphasize why...

It doesn't really matter.  Silver didn't make it.

(My problem with that episode is that I think the producers WANTED a one-second win, so they told Olivia-Emma to go reshoot the ending when she returns with the Amulet.)

What makes you say that?

Possible, but Kirk and the kids seemed too excited for that.

Thats always been my theory.
Man imagine being in the blue barracudas shoes. It would suck to make it only to be told that you were removed because of something you had no control of.

It was becuase the Snakes got sent back during the moat when thaey shouldn't have.

A "Judges Ruling" also occurs in "John Henry's Lost Hammer".

If you have seen all 120 episodes of Legends, copy and paste this into your signature for all to see.

I'm more interested at how the Barracudas also managed to break the gong when they got across the moat.
Crazy, but that's how it goes.

Be nothing phony about you
Keeping it real and do what you feel
You gotta eat

Actually, that one was a disqualification, because the Green Monkeys crossed incorrectly.

If you look at some episodes, you'll notice that the gong's cover is actually sort of slanted to the side when compared to others. I wonder if maybe it was loose and the guy slamming down on it was the proverbial final nail in the coffin.

I actually used to think that was the reason they were disqualified when I was younger.

I guess that's why they keep the parents locked up in there instead of in the audience. Imagine if some kid's parent throws a fit in the middle of the audience because their kid gets eliminated. That'd be pretty funny, though it would sort of ruin the viewing experience at the same time.

Come on guys, it's Legends of the Hidden Temple, not Jerry Springer for God's sake! But, YEAH that would've been a pretty interesting scenario, silvermonkeypieces!
