Don't let that artifact grab fool you, David & Karisa were really bad (especially Karisa). They had 20 points less than the Purple Parrots heading into the run, and would've been tied for the lowest point total of all time. The fact that Karisa was still able to get to the artifact despite being insanely slow is a miracle of itself. Actually, this team placed behind Tim & Retina from Alexander & the Gordion Knot who didn't even get to the artifact and were equal on points with Mike & Kelli from the Thornwood Gavel of Judge Roy Bean (also didn't get to artifact). I'm not sure what close call run makes me cringe more this one, Icarus, or Poseidon. Should easily have been won.

Yeah, Karisa and David barely scraped by each round. People give the Butch Cassidy kids crap for scraping by, but at least Paula and Matt were competitive and Paula was good in the temple despite the easy win. To this day, the Enormous Feather temple loss still pisses me off. Mostly thanks to Karisa. Its a wonder how Karisa reached the artifact at all. Mostly because David cleared the bottom floor in under a minute.  :roll: Travis and Elisa would've smoked this layout. To me, this is the worst failed escape on the show. Although Cheater Ron from Anne Bonny is not too far behind.  :roll:

What a coincidence, I just watched the Red Sash episode the other day. :mrblue: I know in the past I use to give Brandy and Quentin a hard time, but after rewatching this temple run this team had a hard layout. In fact, it was almost on same level as Missing Portrait. It didn't help that both players completed objectives they didn't need to. Brandy could've bypassed the Shrine and Quentin could've avoided Secret Password. Despite the mistakes, they were so close to reaching it. Too bad they weren't allowed access to Shrine shortcut. Very exciting run and I feel this was a solid team.

Wow, the SOK losing Red Jaguars had more points than the Green Monkeys? :shock:

Anyways, this temple run was one of the biggest waste of potential on this show. Kimberly and Tony had a very strong pre-temple performance. Only for Kimberly to mess it up... big time. :roll: Its amazing how she could mess up that badly with the Trident drop. She was doing pretty good before reaching the artifact. Although that layout was very easy. I guess we shouldn't expect much from a contestant named Kim in the temple. :roll:

I forgot how strong the Purple Parrots were in the Lily-Crested Crown episode. First in the moat, first in the SOK, and a very close temple game performance. Even though the Orange Iguanas won 2 Pendants, the temple games were very close with a score of 2-1.5. Would've been nice to see a 2-2 tiebreaker. Katie and Judge sucked in the temple too. Katie was moving pretty fast in the beginning, but the Chamber objective really stumped her. Not sure which was worse - Katie's performance in the Chamber of Tony's performance in Medusa's Lair from the Stone Head run? I might give the edge to Katie because at least Tony has sort of an excuse with four snakes Medusa. Judge was a lousy second runner and couldn't even add progress. Like most Orange-Purple episodes, this episode would've been better if the Purple Parrots went to the temple.  :roll:

Fortunately, tomorrow's team will be a real treat.  :mrgreen:
