And yeah, American Idol is really losing its quality. It's been that way for a few years now. And yes, I remember Sanjaya. Good god, was he horrible. :lipsrsealed:

Yeah, "Vote for the Worst" was the site. Also, did they ever say who the new judges were? Since none of them are coming back next year.

Well, I heard Jennifer Lopez is returning as a judge, and Keith Urban might stay on after all. I'm really not looking forward to JLO coming back. =/

And Idol will be back January 15. I'm personally interested in seeing this Harry Connick Jr. as a judge this year. Hopefully he will be bluntly honest, (like Simon was), and give these contestants much needed honest criticism. He's a music producer, so he should know his stuff.

Well, about 45 minutes into the premiere episode, and I'm already unimpressed. Everyone is so dull, I have not been impressed with one, single person so far. And that 16 year old Jersey girl should NOT have been chosen. She was bland, flat, and had no stage presence. They just picked her because she was a fan of JLO. Continuing the trend again of being too nice with their judging, and letting mediocre people slide for no reason. Though they DID turn down a lot of people. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, not like I was expecting anything great anyways. :roll:

That is kind of what I said earlier in this thread (and page for that matter), but you're right. Even the editing is poor, I mean what happened to the theme song? And what is with that "is so and so going to Hollywood or going home" crap? Just freaking tell us already. -_-

American Idol is probably not going to go away anytime soon. There have been singers like Phillip Phillips and Kelly Clarkson who have become famous thanks to this show. I did follow it a little bit in 2013, but I lost interest because the show has long lost my interest. It is more like a popularity contest now.

One nice thing I have to say about this season: Harry, the new judge. He's the ONLY one who's actually honest and gives these contestants a much needed dose of reality. I knew I was gonna like him. He's good at shooing people way who clearly don't deserve it. All I've got to say is THANK YOU HARRY. We need more judges like that.

And I don't expect you guys to like the show. Hell, I don't even like it anymore. I'm only in it for the auditions. But, I'm gonna comment on this thread, and I'm sure RJF is gonna stumble upon this thread eventually. Of course Idol has run its course now. How many times do you think I've wanted this show cancelled already? It's become a circus, like most long running reality shows have become.

My favorite season was the one where Jordan Sparks won. I remember all the drama during that season and it was very entertaining to watch. I use to watch the show religiously during that time. Simon was the best judge.  :mrred:

Oh yeah, Simon was the best. He was the only one who was brutally honest and didn't sugar coat shit. Maybe some of these judges should take notes from him. I miss him, but he's on the X Factor now. So I suppose he doesn't really need Idol. ;)

And someone told JLO to get rid of that ridiculous 80s hair. It makes me retch just looking at it. :lipsrsealed:
