The Dark Forest / QR Codes
« on: May 14, 2011, 04:58:52 AM »

So here's a QR code I created with the help of

I don't know, something fun for the children and people who are willing to take out their cellphones to scan this code on your computer.

The Pit / Temple Apparel
« on: April 17, 2011, 10:28:23 PM »
So the title topic is suppose to be a knock-off of American Apparel after looking up that there is more Legends-related items up for sale like Pendants of Life made out of paperboard:

or replica name tags from the show:

Of course there are the shirts and jackets, but haven't worn my Purple Parrots T-shirt for quite some time, mostly because I'm not a graphic shirt type of guy. When are they gonna sell a replica of the Shrine of the Silver Monkey? I would.

The Dark Forest / Kirk Fogg movie 'Distortion' up on Youtube
« on: April 06, 2011, 02:05:09 AM »
Finally, you can watch Kirk Fogg's movie for free. I previously watched it and it's pretty decent, although another actor other than Kirk Fogg in the movie stands out. I believe he's the antagonist in the movie.

The Jesters' Court / The Temple Arcade
« on: February 26, 2011, 03:40:36 AM »
So I decided that there should be some kind of discussion where we talk about the arcade games we're playing here.

I don't think anyone will find the secret to beating my score on Skee Ball.  :)

The Jesters' Court / I Hate My Homeland

So this is in response to ALF's rants about Singapore. It's all yours man. ;)

The Jesters' Court / The Music Thread
« on: February 12, 2011, 01:00:27 AM »
So it seems like some of you guys like to post some threads about new songs, CD releases, or rant on Lady Gaga or Justin Bieber, so okay then, I'll make this thread.

I'll start by discussing about Lady Gaga's new song "Born This Way", which I thought it was 'meh-okay'. It reminds me of Madonna songs from the 80s/early 90s, mixed with current beats. Although it has a catchy beat... :?: :?: :?: :?

Other than Lady Gaga, I just got Stacking from the PSN store and I really like the piano/orchestra music it has. Blends very well with the game and design overall.

Miley Cyrus, everyone's favorite drug-taking newly 18-year-old hellion, is keeping her movie career going by growing up a little bit, starring in So Undercover as a private investigator forced to infiltrate a sorority. No, nobody has bothered to explain how a teenager can become a private investigator-- and a "tough, street-smart" one at that-- but the answer is something like "Miley Cyrus is a giant star, so get over it." Now Cyrus will be joined onscreen by two more stars, Jeremy Piven and Mike O'Malley, who as the grown-ups in a teen-centric movie will likely be humiliated several times over at the hands of Cyrus and her pals.

According to the press release announcing the casting Piven will play Special Agent "Armon," which sounds like a villain name if I ever head one, while O'Malley will play Cyrus's father, presumably doing a spin on the thing he does as Kurt's dad on Glee. The cast already includes Gossip Girl's Matthew Settle as Professor Talloway, Josh Bowman as Cyrus's love interest, and a whole flock of actresses playing sorority sisters whose names you may or may not recognize: Kelly Osbourne, Eloise Mumford, Lauren McKnight, Megan Park, Morgan Caluhoun and Alexis Knapp. Tom Vaughan, most recently of Extraordinary Measures, is directing the script by Allan Loeb and Steve Pearl.

The Steps of Knowledge / Tumblr
« on: January 07, 2011, 05:15:44 PM »
So since we moved to a new site, I suppose we have a Tumblr account, where we can post some interesting photos, videos, whatever if you wish. I can give you[the members] the email and password if you like to post something onto our new Tumblr account. And don't worry, the email isn't personal.

The Jesters' Court / The Something Thread
« on: December 22, 2010, 07:51:32 PM »
Yeah, I'm gonna kill the Nothing Thread with this thread.

Just wanna make an announcement:

I just got an email from MyPodcast and apparently I got an email recently telling me:

"Your podcast "retronickshows" is scheduled for removal from".

The reason: According to our statistics, your podcast at has not been updated for at least a month and has a small number of downloads. Due to limitations on our current hosting setup we can no longer host inactive podcasts, and unless you begin posting new episodes we will be forced to remove your podcast from the MyPodcast system. To avoid deletion, please publish a new episode within the next 30 days. Regular podcast updates are
the key to your podcast?s popularity among subscribers. We plan to perform such account deletions on a regular basis in order to free up room on our system for new podcasts, so please update your
podcast regularly in order to keep your account active.

So in order to keep it up, anyone here or I will have to do an episode just for the sake of it. We did plan on doing it with Bob, Alton, and I, but if you're up for it and you're not shy, and also have a mic for your PC, then on ahead and talk about anything Nick-related.

If you do, plan on talking about Legends of the Hidden Temple, which is our supposed topic for the first episode. If not, I'll be doing the recordings.

But there's one more thing you need to dopx]
Support the podcast by downloading the episodes or by doing it on iTunes. Please, even one or a few will help the podcast from going down, since I'm doing this with a labor of love and with no money at all (in college right now).

The Jesters' Court / The "What Are You Reading Right Now?" Thread
« on: September 16, 2010, 08:11:57 PM »
So I'm pretty amped up for my Sencond Year English class because it seems that I'm pretty excited for the genre we're focusing on: Science Fiction.

Right now I'm reading World War Z and it is great so far.

The Dark Forest / Television Crushes
« on: September 04, 2010, 08:26:51 AM »
So many of us had those television crushes when we were young when we watched a ton of television, depending on your situation.

I'll refer to this article, but of course, the rule applies to anyone of sexual orientation:

I hate to confess it, but I sort of had a thing for Kirk Fogg.

As for cartoon characters, I liked Brock, but he was always the hopeless romantic and got rejected by almost every girl, which was pretty funny at the time.

The Dark Forest / Recreation, Parks, etc. you have visited
« on: July 09, 2010, 05:26:07 PM »
So you can list what parks, whether it be amusement, recreational, or whatever you happened to visited.

The Treasure Room / Retro Nick Shows Podcast site up
« on: June 25, 2010, 02:12:45 PM »
So I just created the site to hold the podcasts, but right now, it's bare bones so until we get a recording done, hopefully the first episode will be up and running.
