Truth be told, I never liked Snake Bracelet either. =/

Now, I'm gonna ask again: Will the temple game match ups make for more interesting discussion? I brought this up yesterday, and you never answered me. I don't know if anyone is gonna look forward to it. That's what I'm afraid of.

I say it will be much more interesting. There will be more to talk about in my books. ;)

Also, I am not too crazy about Snake Bracelet's win. But I thought the whole episode was pretty good like the pretty unique temple games and hilarious legend. It has nothing on Galileo or Lawrence of Arabia.  ;)  :mrsilver:

And the temple games are more memorable than the Steps anyways. I can't wait until we get to Blue/Orange. You know, the combination with only a measly four episodes? And I do like how those colors look together too. ;)

Yeah, I liked the legend and temple games as well. But Tracy's unenthusiasm and average win kind of brings it down for me. But yeah, I definitely prefer the likes of Galileo and Lawrence of Arabia over this episode. ;)

Yeah, it's fun to look at all the interesting color combinations, and which episodes featured which pair. And it's especially fun to over analyze all the combinations too.

And I know this is late, but here's all the temple game pairs that happened with Red-Blue-Green-Purple:

Red/Blue: Jean Lafitte, Stone Marker :mrred:
Red/Green: Anne Bonny
Red/Purple: Bone Necklace
Blue/Green: Ponce de Leon
Blue/Purple: Sacred Ring, Missing Portrait
Green/Purple: Lost Hornpipe, Good Luck Watch

So every possible temple game combination happened with that particular match up. Out of all the 15 Steps of Knowledge pairs on the show, there were only three match ups where every possible combination happened. Red-Blue-Green-Purple, Red-Blue-Green-Silver, and Blue-Green-Orange-Silver to be exact, are the combination to share that feat. I guess it's no surprise that didn't happen very often. Especially considering the lack of variety some temple game pairs had at times. Still an interesting tidbit though. ;)

You know me too well.

But yeah, the temple game pairs will be much more interesting for discussion. I'm definitely looking forward to at long last starting it up. ;) And yes, I'm gonna use this thread for it. The OP is just gonna need a slight name change, from "Steps Edition" to "Temple Games Edition."

And with a 5.60 average, time to end the last Steps of Knowledge poll for Green-Orange-Purple-Silver. :mrorange: :mrpurple: :mrsilver:

Now we move on to the temple game combinations at long last! And we are gonna start off with the temple game pair Red vs. Blue. :mrred: :mrblue:

 :jaguars2: vs. :barracudas2:

Episodes it was featured in: (Used in 8 episodes)
The Helmet of Genghis Khan (Red wins)
The Stone Marker of Leif Erickson (Red wins)
The Helmet of Joan of Arc (Red wins)
The Jeweled Necklace of Montezuma (Red wins)

The Treasure Map of Jean Lafitte (Blue wins)
The Belly Button of Buddha (Blue wins)
The Ivory Elephant of Scheherazade (Blue wins)
The Red Sash of Tokugawa Ieyasu (Blue wins)

Score: 4-4 Tie!

My vote and reasoning will come in the next post. ;)

I gave this match up a 7. I happen to like these colors together, they looked really pretty and blended well together. I'm not too crazy about the episode selection though. Red Sash and Buddha are the only episodes that I really like from this pair. The rest are just plain average. The only truly bad episode from this list is Jean Lafitte, so it's not like this combination is littered with bad episodes. Oh yeah, and we got Stone Marker on this list too. :mrred: Also, this temple game pair lacked consistency. It occurred A LOT in Season 1, but very rarely in the latter two seasons. But I did like how equally represented both teams were. They each had 4/8 temple appearances, so it wasn't a complete shut out like certain other combinations were. All in all, the nice looking colors and equal distribution between the two teams solidifies my rating of the pair. ;)

Ahh, good old red vs blue - THE primary Nickelodeon match up. Double Dare and Finders Keepers utilized this color matchup, Guts and Make The Grade used these colors plus purple and green respectively, and of course Legends featured it whenever these teams made it to the Temple Games. My point; it's familiar, it's common, and it works. The colors are dominant primary colors and they look good together. The episode selection is frightfully average. But nothing terrible so that's good. I was between a 6 and a 7 but I went high and gave it a 7. The fact that this duo went to a 4-4 all time draw just adds to the coolness.

Oh yeah, these two sets of colors were used on Nickelodeon shows a lot. Double Dare, Guts, etc. So we've definitely seen a lot of these colors.
