Why is Lost Hammer listed twice on that list though? Is that a mistake?
Because the Green Monkeys got disqualified at John Henry's moat, and the Purple Parrots took their place. Same with Amulet. Blue got disqualified, and Silver replaced them. Is that reason enough for you? ;)

Now it makes sense
Top 10 episodes:
1. Lucky Pillow of Annie Taylor
2. Lion Headed Bracelet of Chandragupta
3. Applewood Amulet of Emiliano Zapata
4. Milk Bucket of Freydis
5. Jewel Encrusted Egg of Catherine the Great
6. Much Heralded Helmet of Sir Gawain
7. Snakeskin Boots of Billy the Kid
8. John Sutter and the Map to the Lost Goldmine
9. Lawrence of Arabia's Headdress
10. Discarded Seal of Ivan the Terrible

Yeah, exactly. Look at it this way:

Lost Hammer:
No Green DQ: Red-Green-Orange-Silver
Green DQ: Red-Orange-Purple-Silver

Amulet:
No Blue DQ: Red-Blue-Green-Purple (That Purple still advanced from) :mrpurple:
Blue DQ: Red-Green-Purple-Silver (First time the latter pair occurred, since this never happened in Season 1)

Come to think of it, Blue-Green-Orange-Purple and Blue-Orange-Purple-Silver (the two rarest pairs) also never happened in Season 1. Boy, Season 1 lacked A LOT of variety when it came to both Steps AND temple game pairs.

I didn't even notice Applewood Amulet was on the list twice too. It makes total sense now because o the team replacements. I am not sure why that never occurred to me.

Yeah, that's why there were stars put next to both their names. When I got to all the respective pairs to feature both Lost Hammer and Amulet, I only put their names down for the combinations we actually DID see. Otherwise, I'd just erase the name and not include it. Fortunately, these were rare occurrences and didn't happen often. ;)

Up next is Blue-Green-Orange-Silver. :mrblue:  :mrorange: :mrsilver:

I gave this match up a 6. It was an alright set of colors, but it looked a little bland. The episode selection was equally as bland as well. Besides Galileo, Mush Put Hat, and Missing Eye, the rest of the episodes were just plain average. This was one of the "meh" combinations to me. I do like how 3/4 of the Blue/Orange temple game match ups came from this pair as well. Interesting coincidence there. ;)

The only 2 runs where a triple capture occured in the Torch Room Space happened with this combo. I gave it a 6 for its unique qualities.

Plus, half the runs on this list were triple captures. And every possible temple game pair among these four colors happened too. ;)

I gave this combo an 8. I don't know why, but this combo looks very nice. I usually hate the color Orange and Silver, but they look nice with Blue and Orange for some reason. Especially Blue and Orange. It was pretty unfortunate the Green Monkeys didn't make it to the temple with this combo, but they made it was almost every other combo of theirs, so no real loss. ;) Episodes like Missing Eye, Mush Pot Hat, and especially Galileo were good. The other episodes were pretty boring, but nothing glaring bad. And 3/4 of the uber rare Orange-Blue was used with this combo. I like this combo a lot for all the quirky little trivia, so I am giving it a good score. ;)

Yeah, I was surprised the Green Monkeys didn't have a temple appearance here. They did make it to the temple games three times, which isn't too bad. With how dominant the Green Monkeys were in Season 3, this match up only happened once this season, in Mummified Hand. ;) But, we did get Galileo out of this pair, so it does somewhat make up for things. :mrsilver:

I went with a 7 for the abundance of Blue vs Orange, the visually pleasing color palette, and a reasonable selection of episodes. Not the greatest, but no Cricket Cages.
Top 10 episodes:
1. Lucky Pillow of Annie Taylor
2. Lion Headed Bracelet of Chandragupta
3. Applewood Amulet of Emiliano Zapata
4. Milk Bucket of Freydis
5. Jewel Encrusted Egg of Catherine the Great
6. Much Heralded Helmet of Sir Gawain
7. Snakeskin Boots of Billy the Kid
8. John Sutter and the Map to the Lost Goldmine
9. Lawrence of Arabia's Headdress
10. Discarded Seal of Ivan the Terrible

And here's all the temple game pairs that happened with this combination:

Blue/Green: Mummified Hand
Blue/Orange: Magellan, Harriet Tubman, Efoua (2/3 being Orange Iguana temple runs)
Blue/Silver: Missing Eye
Green/Orange: Mush Pot Hat
Green/Silver: Galileo :mrsilver:
Orange/Silver: Gordian Knot

So there's some more interesting trivia for you there.

I gave this match up a 9. This was my second favorite combination after Red-Blue-Green-Purple. The colors looked beautiful together, like most Blue, Green, and Purple match ups do. I would've given this combination a perfect 10 if it wasn't for the episode selection. The only episodes I like from that pair are Trojan Horseshoe, Dr. Livingstone, and Leopard Skin Cloak. The rest are average to bad. Though it did have an even distribution of which teams made it to the temple, where none of the four teams overly dominated. So that makes up for it. Otherwise, these colors looked really nice together and I wish it was used just a little bit more. ;)

I gave this one a 6. The colors do look nice except for the Silver Snakes. Only because their shirts were too bright. The episode selection is up in the air for me. I love Annie Oakley and Trojan Horseshoe, but the other episodes were average or bad. Episodes like Lost Lion Tail, Silk Sash, and Nathan Hale sucked. Like the Paintbrush said, I like the even episode distribution and everyone got an equal chance in the temple. And this combo appeared A LOT in Season 2. Yet, it only appeared once in Season 1 and 3.
