The Treasure Room / LOTHT All-Stars

I would say Carly would make a good Red Jaguar. She really picked it up after her partner's rather slow run in the Two-Cornered Hat. She completed 5 rooms (even though only 2 of those had a real objective), & had to pass through 4 more & she still almost got out.

Yeah it's a hard choice for a Red Jaguar girl.  I picked Yakerra because of how quick she got it done, even though she tried leaving thru the Temple Guard door. Other than that, thou, she knew what she was doing and she was pretty fast too.

Are those the 6 episodes that I have never seen?

I'm sorry if they are.  I was ready to smash a hole thru the plasma in the kitchen as soon as I heard Olmec say "The Two-Cornered Hat of Napoleon." I was right? it's like what haqpened back in October.

I chose to make my group of "loser" contestants not by picking kids who sucked (though some of these kids did suck), but i chose them for their "famous" performances in the temple, or for their deservability of another chance.  Some of my alternates were the Green Monkey boy from the Imperial Purple Robe, the Silve Snakes War Fan team, Shem of the Golden Earring, Ryann of the Walking Stick, and Jackie of the Oracle Bowl.

If you don't count Brandon of the Bone Necklace episode as a loss since he grabbed the artifact, then i'd switch him out for Chris of the Golden Pepperoni episode to keep that team together.

Shem from The Golden Earring of Henry Morgan? Personally I think that episode was pretty exciting for a loss.  But anyway, here are my picks:

Red Jaguars
Ron (The Treasure of Anne Bonny; doesn't anybody think to just take the easiest route out?)
Sabrina (Blackbeard's Treasure Map; only 5 rooms in 3 minutes? 'nuf said.)

Blue Barracudas
Tony (The Stone Head of the Evil King; sent the King's Storeroom key flyin' and took way too long in Medusa's Lair.)
Brandy (The Red Sash of Tokugawa Ieyasu; one room can make all the difference.)

Green Monkeys
Jeremy (The Golden Spider Web of Robert the Bruce; a winner never cheats and a cheater never wins.)
Lauren (The Dried Apple Half of William Tell; it was a near-impossible layout but you'd think she could've left the Pit with more than 2 seconds on the clock.)

Orange Iguanas
Evan (The Stolen Arm of Shiva; the only contestant who just stood there holding the parts of the statue.)
Veronica (The Bifocal Monocle of One-Eyed Jack; toss-up between her and Karissa but Veronica took I think 1:08 getting out of the Pit.)

Purple Parrots
Brian (The Sacred Ring of Sultan Suleiman; should've tried all three books before leaving the Crypt.)
Akela (The Golden Pepperoni of Catherine de' Medici; do I really need to say it?)

Silver Snakes
Jon (The Golden Cricket Cage of Khan; one-half of the all-time most retarded team)
Tia (also The Golden Cricket Cage of Khan)

And now outer space can rearrange these teams as he pleases.

The Heart Room / Color Combinations Question
« on: December 17, 2006, 05:17:21 AM »
I think the most common pairing's either Red v. Blue (my two favorite teams) or Red v. Orange.  The only Red-Blue one I can think of off the top of my head is The Treasure Map of Jean Lafitte, but I'm sure there's many others I just don't remember which episodes.

And I think someone else brought up there were no Orange-Silver face-offs.  There was the Stolen Arm of Shiva, says the stats on nicklegends' site.

The Pit / What was the longest Moat?

Thinking about this more... Maybe "The Stone Head of the Evil King" was edited first, but they didn't know what to do to totally edit down the Moat, and the Cracked Crown had a longer one?

I wonder if you could talk to Andrea, though? Some people who commented on Renegade's YouTube of her run say they talk to her on Facebook.

Interesting theory about the fog machine.  And talking about this almost makes me wonder about the order of the Layout XI episodes.  I think The Stone Head of the Evil King was first just cus it was in the first layout to feature Medusa's Lair and the legend centered around Perseus and Medusa.  And I'm betting they could only produce four episodes each day (four with no snakes in Medusa's head? the others were the Lost Love Letter of Captain John Smith, The Imperial Purple Robe of Empress Theodora, and I think the Mush Pot Hat of Johnny Appleseed) but they had to reuse the same moat the next day for another few.  I can't remember if Kirk commented about the Stone Head Moat like that, however? damn the people who run Nick GaS.

(slaps self in the forehead) I meant if people associated with the show could tell us if it was the last episode of that season? Oh, never mind.

Aren't the Silver Snakes ones kinda obvious?

Though I think Colleen from Pecos Bill's Lost Lariat would've recorded an impressive solo win if she didn't set foot in the Heart Room.

Funny, I was just talking about her run in another thread.

Brett (The Diary of Dr. Livingstone)

I got everyone started listing players in the Word Game thread too.  Oh, and congrats to me for leveling up to Purple Parrots in only 2 hours or so on the forum.

I think it's with two R's, but I get the picture.

Zac (The Secret Map of the Bandit Queen)

And whoever sees this let's start all over again!

I didn't actually listen to the Kirk Fogg interview, but I hear he said there was a Moat crossing that lasted for 45 minutes.  The way I see it, it's either The Stone Head of the Evil King or The Cracked Crown of the Spanish King.  (How weird, two legends about rocks with King in their name.  And with the exact same Moat crossing.) Personally I lean torwards The Stone Head of the Evil King cause they start the show off right in front of Olmec, but I hear in the Cracked Crown episode the Moat lost its mist about a third of the way through.  Which one do you think was longer?
