More spam! This one was bad. The spammer posted a website with naked ladies on it.

Also, I'm not sure if you can do this. But maybe there cn be someway to give proof. Like example, you have to type in the name of the show.

Unusual place to spam this time. We got a bot in (or is that "on?") the Steps of Knowledge.

I temporarily created my own forum so I could look around the Admin Panel, and there may be a solution...

General Admin -> Configuration
Set "Enable Account Activation" to Admin.

Then, you could implement Rock Quarry's idea as a confirmation email of some sort.

OR, if you can, switch to IPB. There's a feature in there that allows you to moderate the first X posts of a user, as I belong to an Invision board that has that feature turned on.

That is one choice I have not chosen yet. However, that would entail that I activate each and every member.

The spambots are really, really hammering us today. I've deleted at least 10 topics already... I think we may have to choose the member validation path.

I've noticed that lately it seems like it's only a few people posting several times in a few minutes. I swear I've seen the same random letter patterns for thread starter names.

I'm starting to wonder if validation would be that bad of an idea. It is definatly worth a try. I'm going to see what I can do with it.

One of the moderators must have deleted it before either of you saw it, but there was spam in the heart room.
