Me and a few other L.o.t.H.T. fans know that the secret battle plan run was postponed because the production crew apparently screwed up and forgot to put a key in one of the three clay pots (there were two keys in the pot in the silver cannonball run).

One thing bugs me about that though, why would they postpone it so long for a small error like that?

The team goes into the temple, and just because of a small malfunction in the King’s Storeroom, they just abandon the run for weeks?

In Galileo’s Cannonball, the elevator wasn’t working, and some editing made the issue a non-problem. Why couldn’t they have pulled a Ron from Treasure Chest, where they pan to Kirk for a few extra seconds and manually open the door. I highly doubt that they had an issue in the King’s Storeroom, and said “oh well” see you guys in a few weeks, we will try again!

There must have been an even bigger issue with the Temple that rendered any future runs impossible, or an issue with one of the contestants. I guess it’ll be a mystery we will never figure out.

There's no proof that the Nathan Hale run was postponed because of a missing key in a pot. It's an interesting theory, but I was never convinced that this was the reason the run was postponed for the exact reason you stated. Why would the producers inconvenience Christina and James just because one pot didn't have a key in it? They could've simply restarted the run with a fresh new set of pots. We know that the producers allowed for runs to be restarted as it was confirmed in Keeli and Jennifer from Galileo's interviews. I know the pots change between the Butch Cassidy and Golden Stallion run, but all that tells us is that Christina and James did tape their original run and it was postponed for some reason. It's possible that Christina was the one that puked in the Pit, and they postponed the run and waited until she felt better. Anything serious could've happened.

As for the Grandy Nanny run having two keys in the pot, I think this was just a first day quirk. If the Nathan Hale run was postponed because of a missing key, then why did they put two in the Grandy Nanny pot? That wouldn't have fixed anything for a later team. I'm not convinced that Nathan Hale's run was postponed because of a missing key in the pot. If War Fan's run was never restarted after the door getting stuck, then why would they restart the Nathan Hale run because of a missing key? Especially for a later date? It's an interesting theory and I'm not saying its wrong, but I'm not convinced that this is the reason it was postponed until the end of Season 2.

Exactly. I don’t see the producers stopping the run and then saying:

“Whoops, no key in the pot, can you come back in a few weeks???”

It makes more sense if she threw up, and the producers said, “Why not go home tonight, and come back at one of our next tapings when you feel better....”

Of course it could be a lot of things. Maybe the producer got sick, Kirk felt ill, there was a different discrepancy/mistake with the run that prompted the producers to give them a second chance exc.

I'd have to agree. And yes, it was definitely Christina who threw up in the Pit of Despair. Why else would they have had to postpone the run?

Right? Frankly, I’d be surprised if they cleaned her up after a traumatic experience and then put her right back out there that night.

Of course, it could have been another problem, say an actuator issue, or an issue with the Throne rotating that would require a mechanic to conduct repairs, but that’s just speculation. All I’m saying is there are so many more plausible possibilities than no key in a fake clay pot.

It most likely was not a Throne Room malfunction for the Nathan Hale run because the artifact was originally located in the Throne Room. During the temple games, you can see the Battle Plan sitting on the Throne Room. When they retaped the temple run, they moved the artifact to the Shrine because the Throne Room was removed by the time S2L5 came around. Although that doesn't mean there wasn't a problem with the Throne Room. The Golden Stallion team most likely encountered a production error with the Throne Room during their temple run. And that run came after Nathan Hale. ;)

As for the reason the Nathan Hale run was postponed, it's definitely possible that Christina was the mysterious puker that Kirk mentioned in his interview. In his interview, Kirk mentioned that they had to stop the run and clean the balls up in the Pit. So it definitely was a S2L1 or S2L2 episode since those temple runs had the balls in the Pit. I'm just not convinced that it was postponed because they forgot to put a key into a pot. That would've been a huge inconvenience to Christina and James when all the production team had to do was replace the pots and start the run over. It's an interesting theory, but I'm not really convinced.

True, I’m just trying to illustrate how there are so many more feasible reasons for a postponement than no key in a clay pot. Pretty much any other reason would make more sense than that. The “no key” just confirms that the run took place.

I have a question for you L.o.t.H.T fans:

Which order is the correct order for the third Season 2 production day episodes?

This:
049. The Mush Pot Hat of Johnny Appleseed
050. The Imperial Purple Robe of Empress Theodora
051. The Cracked Crown of the Spanish King
052. The Stone Head of the Evil King

Or this:
049. The Mush Pot Hat of Johnny Appleseed
050. The Cracked Crown of the Spanish King
051. The Imperial Purple Robe of Empress Theodora
052. The Stone Head of the Evil King

This is the correct order.

If you're ever unsure about the production order of the Legends episodes, visit this page of The King's Storeroom. (A site Co-Owned by myself and Phantom's Temple user Nicklegends)

That page has the full official production order for the series.

Do any of you L.o.t.H.T. fans happen to know the order for the L.o.t.H.T. Spanish dub, "Leyendas del Templo Escondido"? There's a page on the wiki that has a list of the confirmed episodes that were dubbed in Spanish, but I have a feeling all 120 episodes were.
