Eh, I have to admit I didn't enjoy it as much as some other Megadeth albums, but NOT just because it was different.

And speaking of Linkin Park, I didn't enjoy A Thousand Suns not because it was different, but because the quality of the songs couldn't live up to their earlier work. Either way, it's just not my cup of tea.

So despite this being Slayer's signature song, somehow I never really realized just HOW great a song this is until now— even after I got used to all of Raining Blood, I still preferred "Angel Of Death," "Necrophobic" and "Epidemic." Nowadays, I can't even decide which one is my favorite from the album. :lol:

Megadeth - "Sudden Death"

If this were on Endgame instead of coming out the year after, it'd be my favorite track.  Dave himself said it's probably the most complex song he's ever written, but it's also better-written— for one thing, none of the solos feel tacked-on, where most of the songs on Endgame suffered from that.

Now this is how songs whose lyrics reference Christianity should be written: subtle and poetic.  Unfortunately, most bands whose lyrics touch upon the subject tend to sound like the musicians themselves think they're missionaries... :roll:
