I can't believe I'm holding out longer than you at this point. :lol: Because I clearly can't afford to go out and get the CD during my exam week, I'll listen to it on Saturday and get the CD over the following weekend.


Metallica - "The Day That Never Comes"

Well, after I gave Death Magnetic a few more chances, I think I've come to appreciate that most of the album is good especially because of the catchy choruses just a little bit of the blues-inspired hard rock sound from the Load-era retained here. As for this particular song... well, it'd be ridiculous if I didn't straight out say this was a lame attempt at trying to recapture "One," but the lyrics are pretty good so I'll forgive it. :P

Well, I have to defer listening to TH1RT3EN somehow, so why not by listening to the only CD on my shelf that's never been listened to? :P Either way, after doing so, I think that leaving it that way probably wouldn't have made a difference.

Well, that whole album was strictly formula in a "pander to the old-school fans" sort of way. :P

Kalafina - "Magia"


I really can't get this song out of my head... and with it, I'm stuck thinking about Puella Magi Madoka Magica, the anime it's the ending theme for.  Not that it's too bad, since I think I'm actually liking this deconstructive series (even if it is a bit bizarre at times).
