Henry Hudson gets a 6 from me also. The Purple Parrots did not have many temple run appearances in Season 3. In fact, this was their only one next to "Egyptian Queen". The artifact was interesting and one of those episodes where you want to watch the legend to find out what it is about.  Sherra and Derek were also very strong pre-temple round - they swept the Steps and Temple Games. I never found the temple run to be hard though. It was just a tough layout, but it didn't help that these two kind of moved slow. The ending was pretty hilarious for both the awkward Silver Monkey drop and the bad camera angle. How did he drop it with only two seconds left? Overall, this episode was pretty boring and only worth watching the first couple of times.

I gave Belshazzar a 5. While it was a very quirky episode, it wasn't particularly exciting.

5. This was the first episode I saw, and it was average. The Red Jaguars got totally robbed by that dead-end.

Belshazzar was a pretty special and quirky episode for several reasons. It's obvious that this was the episode that took 18 hours to produce. That was probably why the temple run was delayed. Kirk Fogg seem so out of synch in this episode too and he lacked so much enthusiasm. I also remember the line "You will have to find one of the Golden Cups of Belshazzar and bring them back here." Was that used in any other episode? The rest of the episode was pretty average. Kathrine and Sean totally got shafted in the temple run. The Room of Harmonic Convergence dead end was so brutal and wasted too much time for them. By the time Katherine retreated from that room, there was no hope at winning. They should've reran the temple run over until the producers got it right. This episode is pretty memorable if you ask me. We all talk about it for all the early quirks that were a part of it and how it was the first episode ever produced. Taking all of this into account, I will give this one a 6.

It was also used in "Galileo's Cannonball." But it wasn't used in "Dead Man's Hand" or "Blackbeard's Treasure Map."

I forgot that it was used in Galileo's Cannonball. Thank God they dropped it though. It sounded so lame and made it seem like there were more than one of each artifact. Those early episodes were probably a learning experience from the players to Kirk and Dee Bradley Baker.

Yeah, and they also dropped the "Actually, it's Olmec's temple...." bit after the John Sutter episode. Which sounded equally as lame.

They also used the dorky line "and return it to it's rightful owner" in this and Galileo.

10!  :mrred: This was one amazing way to end such an amazing series. Kris and Kristen were such a great team throughout the episode. Plus, I liked how when they went to commercial, the camera man chassed after Kirk and he dove in the Pit  .

Another perfect 10.  "Catherine the Great" was so close to a perfect episode, it's unbelievable.  The only two that are better, IMO, are "Apanuugpak" and "Pirate Captain".
Favorite Episode: The Secret Map of the Bandit Queen
Favorite Room: The Chamber of the Sacred Markers
Favorite Team: Blue Barracudas

There are six episodes on the whole series that deserves a perfect 10 (Pirate Captain and Map to the Lost Gold Mine being two of them, the other three I will reveal later), and "Catherine the Great" is one of them. The producers went above and beyond with this whole episode. The legend was very good and the artifact design was one of the best in the series. This was one of the few temple games where I remember all of the players: Kristin wanted to be a fashion designer, Kris wanted to be a marine biologist, Orange Iguana boy wanted to be a computer technologist, and Orange Iguana girl wanted to do journalist. The temple games were very exciting and close too. The temple run was also very exciting and never gets old. It is also easily my favorite Red Jaguar run on the whole series. Kris and Kristen were really good players from Kristen's head first dive into the Pit to the team's fast speed in the temple. The episode is also memorable for the fancy camera work, including the one shot where Kirk is chased into the Pit by the cameraman. Overall, this episode ended an amazing series with a bang and is also the best Red Jaguar episode ever. I give this one a 10.  :mrred:
