Ads, ads, and more ads

So I want to bring the attention to an ad if you've been getting it on top of the ad area. I've been getting an ad about a web game called "Envoy". When I joined this site, I've noticed the ad as any regular game being advertised as a strategy game which you can play forever. Over the course of time, I've noticed that the ad has been getting more "sexist" if you would call it.

Let me give you an example of what I'm talking about:







It just starts to go down to the next image. Now it may not be the size, but I'm giving you an idea of it.




I've also noticed that there has also been audio ads where some person announces that you just won a $1,000 gift certificate to some department store. I'm just tired of these types of ads popping up.

I've never had any audio ads, but I've seen the ads for Evony on other forums too.

I wouldn't call 'em sexist just because they're showing beautiful women with lots of cleavage, though. It's really just propaganda, 'cause you gotta consider they're looking for teenage boys to rope in, and a sexy princess rendered in 3D might be the way they think they can get the attention they want.

But I digress.  The ads are still annoying, yes, but it seems they haven't been doing the redirect thing to me lately.  Given that and that I've never had an audio ad thing, I don't pay attention what kinds of ads appear otherwise, which I think is more of the focus of the argument.  Phantom and the mods don't have any real control over which advertisers pay for the forum, either.

Alright, they're "degrading". It must be the boobs/cleavage that get the guy's or girl's attention (Don't judge).

But for the audio ads; I've been getting those lately, but not as much when I started. Honestly, I'm annoyed with some of the ads, but if this keeps going, I just might pay the $10 to get rid of them for a year, curiosity of me.

You're right, although I don't use Firefox anymore because I have some personal issues with the browser, but I wish Flock would have an Adblock.

I'm just curious about the ads they have on this server and Forumer.

I get a blank ad bar for some reason. So no problems for me.

Okay, just when I was gonna post a comment, my browser was loading for some reason and I got an audio ad that I couldn't get away unless I go to another page.

I've never had any experience with audio ads, so I'm not able to help you.
