I'm almost positive the StoreroomMandarin Hand door opened when Shem completed the Storeroom's objective:



Here, you can clearly tell that the color of the door (definitely it because of the actuator above it.) is the same as the wall. (The shot is from Freydis if you must know.)



Here, you can see the door (and the actuator above it) just to the right of the diagram, and the different color compared to the wall (going off of the other shot) indicates that it's open.

TSM has a valid point. When Shem entered the Mandarin Hand room, you can CLEARLY see that the door on the left is open before all the doors opened (Confirmed by the door down opening and the light changing)

So, in theory, he could've made a real squeaker out of it had he noticed that open door.

Yes, the door looks like it is opened. But honestly, I do doubt that a victory could've been pulled off...

Yeah, great find. I think a victory still could have been pulled off though. I mean, Shem was pretty fast after all. It couldn't have taken THAT long to reach the earring, swing across the pit, and then escape.
