The Dark Forest / Indiana Jones

Any fans of this series here? It's one of my all-time favorite series and I love all the films very much in their own way, even the much-maligned fourth chapter. Disney recently bought the rights to more films and two more are supposedly on the way, I'm excited. My ranking for the series is probably quite untraditional and controversial, but it goes:

Temple Of Doom
Raiders Of The Lost Ark
Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull
The Last Crusade

I think in a lot of ways Raiders is truly the best one, though I find Temple Of Doom to be the most entertaining. I actually go back and forth on Last Crusade and Crystal Skull. I like The Last Crusade but it tends to be my least favorite due to being so deriative of the original, though it's still a tremendous film. A great series overall.

And of course, it's hard not to be reminded of Indy whenever I watch Legends episodes :)

The Dark Forest / Long Time Gone

I forgot all about this board until I looked through my bookmarks and saw the link. I signed up here about two years ago but haven't been here in forever, just got caught up with some things in my life at the time and forgot. Good to be back here and good to see this place is still around. I'll definitely try to hang around here more regularly, good to be back :)

The Jesters' Court / Olmec Facts
« on: April 16, 2012, 12:12:29 AM »
This is a funny idea I had for a game and I figured it's better in this sub-forum instead of the main game one, although if it belongs there better the moderators are free to move it. This is just like Chuck Norris facts but all about our Olmec. Post the most insane, funny and silly facts you can think of pertaining to everyone's favorite talking stone head. Here's some I thought of:

Whenever there's an Earthquake anywhere in the world, it's Olmec having a migraine.

Chuck Norris stole all of his facts from Olmec, and paid the penalty by getting crushed and run over by Olmec. Chuck since then has known better than to claim Olmec's facts as his own.

Hailstorms anywhere in the world are whenever Olmec has a sneezing attack.

Volcanic eruptions anywhere in the world are Olmec having a bad day.

The Dark Forest / Last Movie/DVD/Blu-ray You Watched
« on: April 14, 2012, 04:31:09 AM »
Did a search to see if one of these threads was around and saw none. Post the last movie(s) you watched prior to getting onto the board, or DVD or Blu-ray if you watched something else that isn't necessarily a movie but maybe something you watched on either format (ie. a documentary).

I last watched:

Friday The 13th (1980) (Uncut)
Friday The 13th Part 2
Friday The 13th Part 3
Friday The 13th: The Final Chapter
Friday The 13th Part VI: Jason Lives
Friday The 13th Part VII: The New Blood
Friday The 13th (2009) (Killer Cut)

Spent yesterday watching most of my favorites of the series. I'm a long-time F13 fan :)

Soundstage 18 / Looking For AYAOTD Promo
« on: April 12, 2012, 05:29:54 PM »
I remember way back circa 1992 or so when I saw an early promo for Are You Afraid Of The Dark airing on Nick around that time. It had a group of kids on the orange couch watching the show and there was a skeleton who appeared next to one and he fained when he saw the skeleton. I remember this promo very well as it caught my attention when I was just roughly 4-6 years old at the time I saw it and it was how I started watching AYAOTD. I looked on YouTube for it but can't find it anywhere. Does anyone have it?
