The Collar of Davy Crockett
« on: May 01, 2013, 08:08:50 PM »
In this episode, you know that the collar was a Pendant of life. I think that when Kirk said "Bring me the collar" he wanted to make sure it isn't a Pendant.

And in the Tiebreaker, they did the music. Why did they do this, they had 4 tiebreakers before and they put music in this one? I don't get it.  :|

The thing is, the Silver Snakes only had one pendant in that run, and with the second runner (Adam) being the one to bring it out, there was no way they could've passed off a pendant as the artifact.

It was the end of the season. They just wanted to experiment with adding music to the tiebreaker sequence. In some Season 1 tiebreakers, Kirk didn't even explain the rules. Just one of the many Season 1 quirks.

And yes, the Collar was indeed a pendant of life. Since Adam and Shannon did score 1 pendant in the temple games after all.

Doesn't Kirk do the "Bring me the _____" in all of the temple wins and then subsequently examines them? I know he said the same thing in "The Trojan Horseshoe". Although he doesn't delay the victory in that run like he did in the Davy Crockett run. But like TSM said, there was no way for Adam and Shannon to pass that off as an actual Pendant since they only had one to begin with. Not to mention, they were in front of an audience and a bunch of cameras so there is really no way from either one of them to get away with cheating. I blame the Legends producers for even using a Pendant of Life as a part of a prop.

Season One indeed was very inconsistent in some of their episodes. I mean some episodes had the temple teams tell Kirk their strategy while others didn't have it. And then there was that "You need to find one of _____ artifact and bring it back to their rightful owner" in the S1L1 episodes (Golden Cup, Galileo's Cannonball, and Dead Man's Hand). God, that was so lame and made no sense at all.

Dead Man's Hand didn't have that "return to rightful owner" bit. But in all the S1L1 and S1L2 episodes, Kirk says stuff like "Welcome to the temple. Actually it's Olmec's temple." I'm glad they dropped that after a while.

Yeah, I noticed that when I was watching the S1L2 layouts for my player rankings. I'm glad they dropped that also, it sounded too cheesy and lame. Yes Kirk, we know it is Olmec's temple.
