Rate the Legends Win - Day 32: Lawrence of Arabia's Headdress

I went with an 8. I do like this win but just not as much as the ones that I gave 9s and 10s to.

I gave this win an 8. This was a solid Purple Parrot win to me. Both TJ and Randy were very fast and competent, and it was nice to see a Purple Parrot team win a tiebreaker for once. Considering they almost NEVER win tiebreakers. I don't care if Randy had a bad exit plan or not, she still got the job done very swiftly and handily. I know this layout is basically an exact replica of Dr. Livingstone and Bandit Queen, but this win and Bandit Queen were much more exciting. Very underrated and exciting win, and TJ and Randy deserved to win.

I gave Metal Beard a 9. I love this win and it is definitely one that could use more love too. It seems like all the haters are worry about was Randy's exit plan. Even though it could've been costly, it made the run more exciting. The close ending with TJ and Kirk shouting at Randy made this a down to the wire ending. Plus, TJ and Randy also moved quick in the temple prior to reaching the Metal Beard. Overall, this is a memorable and exciting win. The fact that TJ and Randy won the only PP tiebreaker AND won the temple run makes it more special. I like this win more than Bandit Queen (although this run is great too!) and definitely more than Dr. Livingstone.

Yeah, people are just mad because of Randy's exit plan. Yet Brett from Dr. Livingstone did the same thing, yet no one complains. But I definitely prefer this win and Bandit Queen over Dr. Livingstone. This is almost as underrated as Lion Headed Bracelet. We need to praise this win more.

I gave this win a perfect 10. This is easily the best Season 1 episode and win ever next to Lawrence of Arabia. So what if Jennifer stalled in some rooms? This is early Season 1 here, where obviously, players are gonna be a little confused. It's expecting way too much to expect her to be perfectly flawless and not make one single mistake. Jennifer was fast, smart, and knew what she was doing for the most part. Plus, you gotta love her slip on the floor at the end. Overall, this was a very memorable and exciting win, and Jennifer and Damian deserved to win.

I gave Map to the Lost Gold Mine a perfect 10 too!  This was a fun win featuring one of the strongest teams of the first season. Everything about this win was great from the excessive Fogg-Ups to the Blue Barracudas solid performance. And Jennifer made this run memorable too from her hilarious temple strategy to her falling at the end on some random sheet. Unfortunately, this run also seems to get criticized and over-analyzed to the point people are being nitpicky with it. I honestly never found Damian or Jennifer slow or confused at any point. And like the Paintbrush mentioned, it was one of the earliest runs on the show. Of course it is not going to be perfect. I love this win and it is one of my all time favorites.

And we have one more win to go after this. The other awesome Season 1 win: Lawrence of Arabia. Boy, wasn't this a fun ride?

This was the toughest one for me to vote on.

I went with a 9. If I could have I would give it a 9.5.

This is seriously as close to perfect as a run can be to me without being absolutely perfect.

And even then, I went back and forth between 9 and 10. In the end, I just couldn't see putting this in quite the same level as Annie Taylor.

To me, it's a near flawless temple run. I know Jennifer wasn't perfect, but she is way over analyzed and over criticized by picky haters of the run. Like I said above, this was one of the earliest runs on the show, so obviously not every players is gonna know what they're doing. Either way, it's gonna score high anyways, so that's all that matters.

I love when people rank their list because I always felt that in the past that I was the only one that loved this win. But some people went as far as to call it their favorite episode!  I never understood why this win gets a lot of hate. I don't expect people to list this as their favorite episode, but at the same time I don't understand how you can put down Jennifer's performance either. She had a long path to take in the temple and she handled it well. I would go as far as to say that Bobby from Shaka Zulu wouldn't have won if he was the second runner.

Yeah, and even my player rankings of the episode were more accurate than say.... Jennifer getting only a 5 average. Same with Damian. John Sutter is one of my favorite episodes and wins ever, and it's definitely in my Top 10. And yeah, Bobby from Shaka Zulu definitely wouldn't have won if he had John Sutter's layout. Then people wouldn't be calling him "the best player ever."
