Rate the Legends Room - Day 43 Jester's Court

I thought this room was cool, but it only got completed twice. So I'll give it a 7.

I wasn't as thrilled with the Lightning Ball Room as other people seem to have been. Connecting up four "power cords" was not difficult at all, and on top of that, it was only required if the team was progressing to the Shrine of the Silver Monkey. The idea was good and the lighting/sound effects were well-executed, but it was a very simple room that was not utilized to its fullest potential.

Its funny how mixed the reviews are for this room compared to the past rooms, where their votes were usually clustered. I am probably going to leave this open for another half hour or so. Next room up is the Dungeon.

Anyways, I gave the Dungeon a score of a 1. Wow, no words can describe how god awful this room was. What was the point of it anyways? It was literally a waste of space with two ladders. Oh yeah, let's throw in two skeletons and call it a name. This room made the Well and Mine Shaft look like one of the best ideas on the show. Lame room, lame name, lame props, and nothing redeemable about it at all. Screw this room.

As far as the Dungeon goes, I gave it a 2 because I always find Kristen's attempt to plow through the wrong side of the wall (twice) in "Lucky Pig of Amelia Earhart" comical. Other than that, the room was very vacant and not very memorable. It didn't seem like there was much thought put into the design or execution of the room. I also disliked that only once was a guard stationed in the Dungeon, and the guard didn't even come out until after the contestant progressed passed the room.

Anyways, I also give it a 1. I think THIS might be the worst room ever. And good lord was this gray, plain room hideous. -_-

Yeah, at least the Heart Room was sort of cool with the wall paper. The Dungeon was lame. It didn't even look like a Dungeon at all. The producers were probably thinking, "We have two skeletons in our prop department, let's throw them into the room and call it a Dungeon". And I always when Kirk always has to bring up about former contestants being in the Dungeon.

And yeah, Kristen from "Amelia Earhart" not knowing how to bust through the wall is hilarious. The room was already dumbed to the bare minimum as is, how do you not see the wall? But yeah, I have to say this is the worst room of the temple. Although there is one other room we have not covered yet that is even a bigger fail than the Dungeon. I think we know what that room is.

I am going to cut the Dungeon's time a little short and add the results in the first post. Looks like it will rank lower than the Heart Room.

Next up is the Dark Forest.

I gave the Dark Forest a score of a 9. This was one of the most memorable rooms on the show for me. There are a lot of memorable moments that happened in this room from the Temple Spirit captures to contestants screwing around. The room was also unique as it introduced a different type of temple guard capture. I like how the players had a 1:2 chance of getting captured by a tree when searching them. When I think back to Legends, this is the first room that appears in my mind. On the down side, the room wasn't that difficult and wasn't even required going in one direction. Plus, there were no artifact grabs in this room. Overall though, this was one of my favorite rooms on the show.

Dark Forest gets a 9 from me as well. One of my favorite rooms, even if the objective was easy. It's so memorable!

I liked the Dark Forest in concept and design, and I enjoyed the Season Three lighting more than that of Season Two. The temple spirits were a clever addition, too. However, the fact that the objective only had to be completed one way and the fact that this is not one of the first rooms that pops into my head made me give this room a score of 7... (I meant to give it an 8, but when I hit the down arrow on my computer to scroll, I accidentally changed the selected field and then hit "submit" before I caught myself.)
