And the Titans pull off the upset! I'm not even upset though. This loss was mostly on the coach for going for it twice on fourth down, which lead to 2 of the Titans touchdowns. It will suck hearing other teams making fun of the Ravens for this loss, but hopefully this is a hard lesson learned.  :afro:

Titans are now in the Championship game! Who would've thought they would be in the AFCCG earlier in the season?? Especially when they were 3-4 with a shutout loss to Denver earlier in the season! They made a bold move switching to Tannehill at QB and it paid off for them. I definitely think they have a chance to win in the AFCCG. They already beat the Chiefs in KC before and the Texans aren't that great of a team.

The Super Bowl will definitely be interesting this year.

First of all, this is my first post on here with this username.  I used to be on here with a different username which was "The Jesters Court", but I deleted my old account a while back.  Anyway, I came back because of the upcoming revival which I'm looking forward to.

But anyway, like you TRJ, I'm a Ravens fan, and I'd like to share with you about a conflict that arose between myself and other Ravens fans following the playoff loss.  There were several fans that straight up said that everyone on the squad was to blame for that loss, yet when I would then ask them why they thought that Justin Tucker (my favorite Raven) deserved blame even, they wouldn't even respond at all.  I hate that this conflict happened because it was a salt in the wound given how the game itself was just as upsetting to me as it was to every fan.  I'm curious to know what your thoughts are on that?

I agree with you that the coaching staff deserved most of the blame for the loss, not just because of the 4th down calls, but because they completely abandoned running the ball despite that being the biggest reason going 14-2.  A lot of players deserved blame as well, but not every single one of them.  Of the two dumb 4th down calls, the second one upset me more, because had we kicked the field goal, Tucker would of had at least three field goals that night, and he would have probably been excluded from blame more had we still lost regardless.

It's been a while since I last posted in this topic.

My Steelers might just be the most fraudulent 11-3 team ever. We started 11-0 and now we suck. Meanwhile the Browns are looking great and they might overtake us in the AFC North. I can see that happening. We just can't seem to do anything right. If we can't even beat the sorry Bengals, what chance do we have against playoff contenders like the Browns and the Colts? We're trending the wrong way. At this rate, we won't win again this season. We'll probably be an early exit in the playoffs.

I'm actually shocked the Steelers lost to the Bungles.  That's like one team they almost never lose to. The division race is going to be interesting the next couple of weeks. The Steelers could very well lose to Colts next week and battle the Browns for the division in Week 17. Although the Ravens are relying on the Steelers to win against the Colts or Browns for our playoff hopes.  ;)

Truth be told, I don't think there's any team in the AFC that will take down the Chiefs this year. Mahomes is playing out of this world and knows how to pick apart any good defense. Maybe TSM's Bills could beat them, but the Chiefs will benefit hugely if they win the #1 seed. There's definitely no one in the NFC who can't beat them.

I just wonder who won't make the playoffs from the AFC. I think the Browns will beat the Jets. They should beat the Jets and I think them getting to 11-5 will be enough. They might even finish 12-4 if they beat us, which could very easily happen given how we're playing as of late.

I think it's possible a team could go 11-5 and still miss the playoffs despite the expanded field for the playoffs. I think the Raiders have no prayer in the world of getting in. I do think the Ravens will make it. I think they'll get to 11-5, but who will they knock out of playoff contention? I trust the Browns, Colts, Titans, and Ravens. I'm having a hard time trusting the Dolphins, so I'm gonna say them. Which is a shame because Miami looks good this year. I just don't see them beating the Bills in the final week of the regular season. It's crazy to think that 10-6 won't be good enough with an extra team making the playoffs this season.

If all of the AFC teams in the playoff spot win out, then the Ravens will miss the playoffs with an 11-5 record. This happened to the Patriots in 2008 where they missed with an 11-5 record. The last 2 games of the regular season for each team are below:

Titans - Packers, Texans
Colts - Steelers, Jaguars
Steelers - Colts, Browns
Browns - Jets, Steelers
Ravens - Giants, Bengals
Bills - Patriots, Dolphins
Dolphins - Raiders, Bills

This is how I see it:

Titans - They own the tiebreakers over Ravens and Colts, so it would be preferable for them to win out. I say they have a 40/60 shot in beating GB. The Packers have a bad defense and Derek Henry should be able to run all over them. Houston has checked out for the season and should be easy win. (12-4)

Colts - With the Steelers struggles and the division on the line, the Colts will be playing extra tough in this game. But Phillip Rivers isn't exactly reliable either. I think they will win this game though. Should be able to beat the Jaguars easily even though they lost in Week 1. The Jaguars are pretty much tanking for #1 draft spot. (12-4)

Steelers - Based on the last few weeks, I think Steelers lose a close one to Indy. The Browns game will be very important (for once!). I have the Steelers winning this game because the Browns can never beat Steelers or Ravens. That would be the most Browns thing for them to do.

Ravens - Should be able to easily beat the Giants and Bengals. All we need is either for Browns, Colts, or Dolphins to lose one more game and we are in the playoffs. (11-5)

Browns - Jets got their win last week, so that should put a little pressure off the Browns. The Steelers game will be very interesting. Ultimately, I have the Browns losing since they can never beat Pitt or Baltimore when it matters.

Bills - Should be able to win both games. The Titans own a tiebreaker over them, so they don't want to lose in Week 17 in the event Titans win their game at GB.

Dolphins - The Raiders lost their starting QB last week, so I think Miami should win this one easily. The Bills game will be tough depending on whether the Bills have to fight for the #2 spot.

Sucks that a 10+ win team might miss this year. On the bright side, no Patriots at all!  :mrblue: :mrorange: :mrpurple: :mrred: :mryellow: :mrsilver: :mrpink: :mrchameleon:

Even as a Chiefs fan, I'm nervous. Excited and hopeful, but nervous. They absolutely have the talent to beat anyone, but they've had really sloppy moments throughout the season. Perfect example against the Saints this past week, there was no real reason for Demarcus Robinson to even bother returning that punt at the end of the second half, so of course he fumbled it at the 5 and was just plain lucky it was only a safety. One moment I'll be saying "Fuck yeah, we've got this in the bag", and suddenly that changes to "What are you doing? Stop letting them back into the game!"

The Chiefs are definitely the team to beat, but it's far from a given if they can't clean it up. If we do get knocked out, I hope it's the Bills. I think they deserve it the most if it isn't the Chiefs.

But yes, we can all agree, Fuck the Patriots. :P Thank god the Dolphins and Bills are both developing well and can hopefully keep them in the hole for a while before they pop back up again. Wish I could say the same about the Jets, but they can't even tank correctly.

The Browns are gonna be without some key players on offense against the Jets tomorrow because of covid. Suddenly now that game is no longer a gimme. If the Browns miss the playoffs because covid impacted them, I'll legit be pissed off.

The worst part about it: If the Browns miss the playoffs, they effectively lost their spot to the Ravens...who the league bended over backwards to keep delaying their game in week 12 after they had an outbreak. If the Browns lose this game because of their missing players and end up missing the playoffs, Cleveland will be calling for Goddell's head.

Yeah, I would be pissed if I was a Browns fans and lost the game against the Jets. Especially considering the league bent over for the Ravens and Titans like THK mentioned. And this is coming from a Ravens fan. Then again, they didn't postpone the Denver game when all 3 of their QBs were out with the virus.  I wonder if their WRs will be ready for the Steelers game? It would be a very Browns things for them to miss the playoffs with an 11-5 record.

On a side note, good job on blowing the game against yesterday against the Dolphins, Raiders.  :afro:

A pleasant instance where Ravens and Chiefs fans can both laugh at the Raiders together.

And the Chiefs' sloppiness I was talking about? On full display against the Falcons. No excuse for this game to still be 7-7.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!

Falcons take the lead with 5 minutes left.

Falcons drop an end-zone interception that would have iced the game.

Falcons allow the touchdown on the very next play.

Falcons drive back into field goal range to bring the game to overtime.

Younghoe Koo, who has missed 1 field goal all year, shanks it from 39.

Falcons gonna Falcon.

I'm not happy at all with how the Chiefs played today, but at least the Falcons gave us the gift of laughter at the end.

LOL both the Falcons and Chargers are the king of choking. I was actually surprised how much close the Falcons game was though since they are a big mess. Then again, I hate playing bad teams this late in the season since they have nothing to play for and have the potential to upset.

Typical Browns lose to the Jets when it matters. Fortunately for them, the Colts loss and are still very much alive in the playoff chase. On the downside, they have to play Pittsburgh next week. So they might end up missing the playoffs altogether with a 10-6 record. Can't help but to feel bad for them though since their fans deserve better. But Steelers can still win the #2 seed if Buffalo loses, so they probably won't be resting their starters.

With one week left to play, despite the expanded playoff pool this season, a 10-win team in the AFC is already guaranteed to miss the playoffs, with the possibility of an 11-win team missing out.

Meanwhile in the NFC, a 5-10 team is still in the hunt.

God the NFC East is trash.

If the Giants beat the Cowboys, and the Eagles beat Washington, the Giants will win the division with a 6-10 record, which would be the worst record a team has ever made the playoffs with. There's a sadistic, chaotic part of me rooting for it to happen.

I feel so bad for the Browns. It doesn't matter who you're facing, if you lose several key players against anyone because of covid, you're destined to lose. I agree with what THK said earlier. It's like the league wants the Browns and their fans to suffer while at the same time helping out other teams. In this case, it's the Ravens and Titans. The league delays games for those two, but not for the Browns or Broncos for that matter? Hell, my Steelers even had to play like three games in the span of something like 12 days because of the Ravens' virus issues and look what's happened to us. I feel like that's had an impact on our performance as of late.

But anyway, now the Browns have to win against us and to tell you the truth, I actually want them to. I want to see the Browns finally make the playoffs. Thankfully for them, we beat the Colts earlier, so that helps since the Browns own the tiebreaker over them. The Colts are gonna beat the miserable Jaguars next week, so it's a must win game for the Browns. If they lose to us, it's game over for their playoff hopes. It all depends on whether or not those key players are able to return to play and it also depends on whether or not my Steelers have something to play for in week 17. The #1 is out of the question since the Chiefs already have it locked up. If we can somehow get the #2 seed, we'll definitely be playing our starters and key players. Even then, it's a divisional game and those can get messy. I expect this to be a close game. I just hope for the Browns' sake they don't have to rely on Cody "Doink the Clown" Parkey to help win them the game.

I want the Browns to make the playoffs, but I think the Steelers are gonna make it hard on them no matter what the situation is.

It's truly uncanny how often he hits the uprights. If he just missed wide a bunch, like whatever, he's just a bad kicker. But god damn, the sheer amount of times he hits the uprights on the dot...I can't explain it.
