I also gave it a 6. It's MUCH better than most Season 1 artifacts, but it really doesn't look like a star. I don't know what that's supposed to be honestly.

TRJ, whenever you read this, there's something I'd like to ask you:

Do you mind if I take over the rest of your polls? And by that, I mean literally all four of your polls that you have running currently. It's just my way of making it up to you for the way I've treated you, and for what I did to this forum. I feel like I should do this for you. So next time you log in, and if you're okay with it, can I take over your polls from here? I'll completely understand if you say no and order me not to touch it. I just thought I'd ask your permission first. Since you did create this poll after all. ;)

If you want to, go for it. ;) But you really don't owe me anything. I am over what happened in the past and ready to move onto these again. I mean we need really Legends discussions here after all. I don't mind continuing these polls since we are back in action again. But if you want to help, I do appreciate it.  ;)  :mrred:

So it's settled then, I'll take over your polls from here. And feel free to overuse every smiley possible in all the threads. :mrpurple: :mrpink: :mrpurple: :mrpink:

First things first, I need to update the scores for the likes of "Two Cornered Hat" and "Secret Battle Plan" in the OP. Then we'll get to the next artifact. I'll update this post as soon as I'm done recording everything. ;)

And The Star of Sultan Saladin finishes with a 6.25 average. :mrsilver:

Up next is "The Bullet-Riddled Handbag of Belle Boyd"

EDIT: And the OP has been updated. With all the proper artifacts, scores, and proper days. I only took care of this topic for now. I'll cover the rest of your threads tomorrow. ;)

I gave this artifact a 7. The bag looks nice, and the bullets look authentic. Even if those are just gaudy looking jewels. But kudos to the producers making it look realistic. It certainly fits in with the theme of the legend. But the rather small size of the bag is what drags it down for me. It's so small it looks like a camera bag honestly. But I really have no problems with this artifact whatsoever.

Also, I don't think we've covered this one, have we? If we have and I overlooked it, feel free to let me know. ;)

Nope, we haven't covered Belle Boyd yet. ;)

I gave Belle Boyd an 8. It was one of my favorite artifact names on the show. The legend was also very interesting and one of the few I remember to this day. I also liked the bullet holes details too. It actually looked like the bag was shot with bullets. On the downside, the artifact doesn't really look like a handbag. It looks like some medicine bag or something like that. But still, creative artifact name and nice legend.

Yeah, like I said in my above reasoning, it looks more like a camera bag than it does a handbag. Even in the legend, the picture of the handbag depicted (right word?) was much bigger and actually looked like a purse/handbag. Oh well, at least they got the bullet parts right. ;)

And with a 7.25 average, time to end the poll for "The Bullet-Riddled Handbag of Belle Boyd."

Up next is "The Lucky Medallion of Atocha." :mrorange:

I gave this artifact a 7. I like the silver "medallion" portion of the artifact, and it does actually look like a medallion. And it looks like the drawn medallion portrayed in the legend, so the producers were definitely accurate there. What drags it down for me is that the artifact is a little bland looking. Maybe that's just because the artifact is blending in a little too well with the dark and gray Mine Shaft. Otherwise, a fairly nice, high quality artifact.

Also, if I might make a request, I think we should cover either Priceless Portrait, or Good Luck Watch for last. I was thinking the former personally, with it being a high quality looking portrait and everything. Both are arguably some of the best artifacts on the show, and I figure we should end this thread with a bang. And since this is your thread Stone Marker, I figure I'd consult you about it first. How does that sound? ;)

I gave the Lucky Medallion a 6. I agree with you that the artifact was pretty bland looking. It was too tiny and the artifact itself had nothing really to do with the legend. I mean who is Atocha? I am guessing it was suppose to be a town or something, even though there is no mention of it at all in the legend. I don't know, I just felt like this artifact could be a little better like the Lucky Pillow and Applewood Amulet from that day. Great episode, but it could've been a little higher quality. ;)

BTW, I vote for Priceless Portrait to be featured last. That was one of the best artifacts on the show even if there was a naked Paintbrush girl inside of it. That score will be the most interesting one. ;)

Not to mention, it looks like the medallion is missing the "necklace" portion (whatever it's called?) on top of blending in way too much with the room. And you're right, the medallion had nothing to do with the legend whatsoever. And of course we have no idea what Atocha even is either. Great episode, like most of the episodes that day, but the artifact was a little too much on the bland side. Nice looking "medallion" though. ;)

And okay, Priceless Portrait it is for the best for last then. Which FYI, I'm not the nude poser. You got the wrong gal to feed your porno fetishes. :afro:

Someone gave the Lucky Medallion a 10? Interesting, but I don't see how it could rank that high. It was probably the least impressive artifact that day. I think the Electrified Key looked better than that! The name is cool and a Medallion is a good idea, but it is just not a high quality artifact at all. The Electrified Key actually looked like a key that was struck by lightning. I wonder if they were rating the actual run rather than the artifact?  :?:
