Rate the Legends Room - Day 43 Jester's Court

I think I gave Spider's Lair a 3.

Ancient Warriors gets a 7 from me. Kind of easy pulling down levers, but it's still a unique room. It also had an awesome way for temple guards to make captures.

I would have given the Room of the Ancient Warriors an 8 because it was the most memorable room from when I originally saw the show, even though it was not the most difficult room; however, the array of epic temple guard captures bumped my score up to a 9. Hands down, it was one of the best rooms in terms of creativity on the producers' part; I just wish that the room's size wasn't so confining.

I am going to cut the Ancient Warrior poll ten minutes short. I will have the results in the original post like usual.

The next room is the Throne Room. For this poll, I am counting both the S1 and S2 version of it as one room. So you can factor both of those rooms into your final score.

This is how I got my score for the Throne Room:

Throne Room (S1) - 3/10

I am sorry, but this room was just so lame. I was going to give it a score of a 2, but at least the objective was not a "push the actuator" like all the other S1 rooms it seems. But anyways, a giant seat with nothing else was pretty lame. I always laugh when contestants sit on it when the doors are already open.

Throne Room (S2) - 3/10

Like the S1 version, it was just as lame. I hated the rotating aspect of it and it consumed unnecessary time. I am not sure why they bothered to bring it back. And the fact that contestants had to sit on it to exit was lame too. It also seemed kind of buggy too in certain runs, with "Butch Cassidy" and "Golden Stallion" coming to mind. Thank God the Laser Light Room replaced this.

When you average it together, it came out to be a 3. Just an all around lame and uninspiring room.

For the former, it was just a plastic seat, yet some contestants STILL didn't get that the door was already opened. For the latter, I did kind of like the rotating aspect of it. But at the end of the day, it wasn't really an objective at all. And it was just a hyped up version of the Season 1 room.

Total ranking: It gets a 3.

I like how the producers put a ladder on the back of the wall in the S2 Throne Room. I mean if the Throne is part of the main objective, why have it back there anyways? Paula even uses it I believe in her run. Just a lame room period.

if you look closely, the back of the wall has some square-shaped indentations on it. Thus, I think that the back of the throne was later used for the Laser Light Room.

Next up is the Pit of the Pendulum.

I gave the Pit of the Pendulum a score of a 7. It was probably my most favorite variation of the Pit of Despair next to the Rope Swing one from the last two layouts of season two. The room itself felt like an actual objective rather than to simply open a new door with an actuator. Also, I like how when the contestants knocked down the column, it opened all unlocked doors for them. This gives the contestants a snapshot of which route they can take. The old versions of the Pit lead the contestants and viewers confused which all available doors were actually unlocked unless they tried it all. On the downside, I did like the element of unpredictability that the old Pits had. Plus, the way it was design made it challenging for the contestants to navigate. I hate seeing them waste all that time climbing due to foam blocks at the bottom.

I gave it an 8, it was a neat room. Where unlike other Pit rooms, it wasn't just measly hitting the actuators and go.

I gave it a 7. This Pit was pretty good, unlike season 1's Pit.

I am going to give the Lightning Ball Room a score of a 5. I have mixed feelings about this room. It had a cool concept, but it was ruined by the fact that it was only required if the team was trying to enter the Shrine. What would've been awesome if the contestant actually had to complete the room objective in order for the Mine Shaft elevator to work. This room was much better than the lame Torch Room and Viper's Nest - it had an objective that was neither difficult or overly easy. But it didn't really appear that long in the temple and I forget that this room exists half of the time. Nothing really special IMO.

I gave it a 7. While it did provide an actual objective for the contestants, it really wasn't used that often. And like stated above, it was only required if you were going to the Shrine. It was kind of a wasted potential room in my opinion.
