The Temple Games / Agree/Disagree/No Opinion

No opinion.

Having to read a book over the summer for school is the most pointless assignment of all time.

The Jesters' Court / What's so great about High School Musical?
« on: August 17, 2007, 09:03:48 PM »
Oh, I remember when the first one came out. For my gym class in 2006, we had two classes that were combined into one, and we would play sports together. Both gym teachers had children ages 5-7, and the adults knew all the words to every high school musical song! They even started singing parts of them one day in class. Sadly, it's one of those memories I'll never forget.

You know, I used to have a ton of respect for Disney. Heck, I still watch those dumb sing-along tapes they used to come out with in the late-80s from time to time! Then around the time Hilary Duff started becoming popular, I began to stop thinking they were cool. High School Musical only made my already-diminished views of Disney sink further.

Although I probably shouldn't complain, as I haven't seen the darn show.

I wish they'd make more new damn episodes of American Who's Line! The british version always seemed a bit too "dry" to me. Anyone like to add to this thought?

Don't new episodes air every once in a while on ABC Family? I know the show officially ended production in 2003, but the cable network aired several new episodes in 2004, 05, and 06. I didn't see any, but that's what I've been told at least.

The British version was funnier towards the last few seasons. But I saw an episode from the first season and it was not funny AT ALL. I didn't understand why the audience was laughing, because the jokes didn't make any sense to me.

Anybody notice that the door to the Shrine opened when the frontrunner got taken out (at least, the door from the Tomb to the Shrine. In later episodes, just because that door's open doesn't mean the top door is)? I sometimes wonder if that confused her.

By the way, the episodes called The Keys to the Alhambra, just for reference.

Yeah, the part where the Silver Snake says his name is Vincent is really funny to me as well.

Other parts I liked are hearing what the teams are saying as Kirk introduces them, "No name" falling off the wall, and "Phillip's" whole speech after the temple.

The Heart Room / What was the first episode of Legends you saw?
« on: August 08, 2007, 07:02:43 PM »
Well, if we're talking about Nick GAS, the first episode I saw on there was The Golden Earring of Henry Morgan. Not too bad of an episode to see when you haven't seen a new episode in years (well, new to me, at least)

Well, everyone prepare yourselves: there are two more HeadOn related products:

FirstOn - For use against those pesky itches
PreferOn - Hides scars

I don't get how these are becoming so popular. As I stated earlier, I've used HeadOn and it doesn't work!

Bill cullen, Only Problem is Hes kind of dead.

Yeah, something tells me that won't work.

Personally, I think Drew's going to be a great host. It'll be hard to succeed someone who's been in that position for over 30 years, but I've got a good feeling. After all, he hosted the American version of Whose Line is it Anyway? after Clive Anderson hosted the British version for over ten years without too many problems.

Kirk would have been an interesting host. I can sort of picture him hosting it. However, I think the producers were looking for someone a little more famous, so the odds of that happening were slim.

While I was never a fan of The Secret World of Alex Mack, it still is very exciting that another Classic Nick show may be coming out on DVD.

The Heart Room / Olmec: MIA?

And then, if you successfully find Olmec, and bring him back to Phantom's Temple in ONE PIECE, you'll win a trip to Roseland Ranch!

Seriously, I think Olmec and the rest of the set were disassembled back in 1995 or 1996. I personally would be stunned if Olmec were still standing.

Working on my Bachelor's in Journalism, so in the likely scenario that prizefighting won't lead me to a career, that will likely be where I will roam.

You and I both. I'm hoping to major in journalism when I head off to college. I've been working on school newspapers since I was in fifth grade, so it seems natural that I should do that as a career path.

The Jesters' Court / Eww I Start High School Next Year
« on: July 18, 2007, 05:26:28 PM »
I just graduated from high school, and I start college in late August. I'm really excited for it.

Except for my sophomore year and the beginning of senior year, I've enjoyed all of my high school. The trick is, you have to find an activity that you enjoy doing. That way, you'll get to meet people. In my case, I was fortunate enough to meet a group of people freshman year who remain my friends to this day.

So overall, high school will have its ups and downs, but it's so much better than junior high.

On topic, I HIGHLY doubt that was true. Like nicklegends said, the show was taped in front of a live studio audience. Somebody would have said something. But it is interesting to think about. I'm sure somebody DID at some point get injured on the show, but it wasn't anything serious. The credits list a nurse (Sandy Heisly (sp?)) so they were prepared if something went wrong.
