Spookiest Room?
« on: October 16, 2009, 07:29:58 AM »
After making Halloween plans and watching some old episodes the other day I wondered which rooms, if any, gave you guys the creeps.  The Dark Forest always made me nervous, hands down. I nearly jumped out of my skin the first time one of those trees grabbed a contestant.

Same when I was little... only I remembered it as "the Bog."

Any room with a temple guard. It seems like all the episodes I watched, there ALWAYS was a guard in either Medusa's Lair or the King's Storeroom. The guards behind the door to the King's Storeroom in Season 3 kind of freaked me out at first, but then I learned the trick of "temple guard spotting" and wasn't as surprised.

Hands down either the Dark Forest ("ARGHH!! GOT YOU!!" sound effect really scared me) and The Room of the Ancient Warriors were the scariest to me when I was young. I still used to move a little when a pair of arms came out through the armor until I was about 15 though. Sad, isn't it? :P

The Tomb of the Headless Kings was pretty scary, too.  Putting a skull on a dead body, then the body's heart starts beating all of a sudden? Forget about it...

I actually thought the slide down the bog was a scary room because I thought the contestant was going down a very dark place and never coming back.

You know, that's very interesting KFAD... The camera angle that they used when contestants went up and down the slide showed nothing except and endless spiral.

Also, I thought that they were gonna be killed by some beast or better yet, eaten by a monster lurking in the dark that sort of looked like Telly from Sesame Street, but with black fur.

What's worse is that I was 18 years old at that time.

Spookiest rooms for me, even though they've been said, are the Dark Forest and the Tomb of the Headless Kings. Pharaoh's Secret Passage was also pretty spooky as well.

The Crypt could be pretty scary especially when they had the skeletons turned up and a kid wasn't expecting it.

Wherever arms come out to grab you, the Guard can capture you after you complete the objective, or you can be caught off guard by a temple guard capture!
