Cave of Size or Cave of Sighs?

This always confused me too. I think it was supposed to be sighs because that made it sound more ominous.

Sighs because it seems to fit better, especially when connected to the Pit of Despair.

Hey all, I just thought of something interesting that I want you all to ponder

While spitballing about Legends just now, I remembered the Fogg-up "Ledge of (Size/sighs/scythes/sais)", and that got me to thinking.

What if we tried to use that Fogg-up to reduce the number of options using semantics.

"Ledge of Size" doesn't fit, because there isn't an adjective in the sentence to convey what size the ledge is.

"Ledge of Sais" also doesn't work because I doubt seriously that the ancient egyptian city of Sais had only 1 ledge in it.

"Ledge of Sighs" works because there could be an echo of sighs about the ledge.

And "Ledge of Scythes" works as well because of the whole stalactites/stalagmites thing i said eariler in this thread.

So, in conclusion, only Sighs or Scythes would've worked in both "Cave of ..." and "Ledge of ..." scenarios, and therefore could've been in the name of the actual Legends room.

Well, it's not like every time Kirk made a mistake, it was STILL grammatical.  This gem from "The Keys to the Alhambra," for example"

"The team with the most hits attached to their partner's suit at the end of 60 seconds."

I'm sorry, but "Scythes" and "Sais" still both sound like a major stretch, and I've always believed it was "Sighs" until I started seeing sites refer to it as "Size"... because which spelling would work best for the room next to the Pit of Despair? ;)

Since this is bumped, might as well make a final statement. The Spanish edition of Legends of the Hidden Temple had Sabio (Olmec) name the Cave as "La Caverna de los Suspiros," which literally translates to "The Cave of Sighs."

Are you referring to a completely different version of LOTHT filmed for a Spanish audience or a Spanish dubbing of the Nick game show?
