KIRK: As the quest continues, it?s now time for Olmec to tell us about the Severed Head of Elvarg the Dragon. But before we get started, pay attention, because your knowledge of the legend could bring you one step closer to Olmec?s temple.
OLMEC: One of the greatest dragons in the land of Gielinor was Elvarg. She was the ruler of Crandor until a mighty warrior by the name of John slayed the dragon. To start his quest once he had completed enough tasks for other people he entered the Champions? Guild and asked the Guildmaster about the legendary rune platebody.
JOHN: Do you know anything about rune platebodies?
GUILDMASTER: Why yes! To wear it you must have completed quests fit for champions given out by Oziach in Edgeville.
OLMEC: So John went to Edgeville and asked Oziach if he could sell him a rune platebody. Oziach agreed, but only if he slayed the mighty dragon of Crandor, Elvarg.
JOHN: Could you sell me a rune platebody?
OZIACH: Only if you can slay the mighty dragon of Crandor!
OLMEC: Oziach said he needed three things: 1. An anti-dragon shield to protect from the dragon?s mighty firebreath, 2. The map to Crandor, and 3. A boat to get to Crandor. He also said that the map was split into three pieces. The first piece was in Melzar?s Maze. The second piece was in the Dwarven Mine. And the third piece was in the Port Sarim jail. He said that he could get an anti-dragon shield from Duke Horacio in Lumbridge Castle. He also said that he could get a ship from Klarense in Port Sarim. So John got all the materials he needed and eventually made it to Crandor. He climbed up the volcano and went inside. He eventually made it to Elvarg?s lair.
ELVARG: RRRROOOOOAAAAAARRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!
OLMEC: John got out his trusty rune scimitar blade and slashed at the dragon. It was a tough battle, but in the end, John emerged the victor. He beheaded the dragon and brought the head back to Oziach, who then sold him a rune platebody. The Severed Head eventually made its way to the temple!
KIRK: Thanks Olmec, so where is the head?
OLMEC: The Severed Head of Elvarg the Dragon can be found in the Haunted Graveyard!
KIRK: Okay teams, you are now standing on the steps of knowledge. In a minute, Olmec will ask you several questions about today?s legend. If you think you know the answer, stomp down on the ancient marking in front of you. Try stomping on it!
(The Purple Parrots stomp down on their marking.)
KIRK: Okay, Purple Parrots, since you rang in first, you would be able to answer. If you?re right, you move down a step. If you?re wrong or run out if time, I?m going to give the other teams a chance to answer. The first two teams to answer three questions correctly and make it to the bottom step will be one step closer to Olmec?s temple. Olmec, we are now ready for question one.
