The Pit / [REQUEST] The Last Few Temple Runs
« on: March 06, 2007, 02:06:15 PM »
We are all one big fandom.  Thus, we should work together in these troubling times.

As you all know, I'm a little short of having all 120 Temple Runs.  I'm currently researching a sure-fire way to post them online without having to deal with re-uploading.  (FTP is looking okay, but I don't have the money.)  However, I still strive for completion.

I know a lot of you tape episodes.  If you can post the Temple Runs for the following episodes, I would be most grateful.

The Ivory Elephant of Scheherazade
The Broken Wing of Icarus

The Dried Apple Half of William Tell

The Pit / CollegeHumor Interviews Kirk Fogg

How many migraines did you get per day, on average?
My head held up pretty good, it was my back that killed me. Standing on a cement floor 14 hours a day will do that- Oh wait, I forgot. Once I smacked my head going into the swamp on the day I made my attempt to get through the temple (I made it by the way.)

What made you decide to go with khaki shorts verses jeans on a given day of shooting?
Well, I thought everyone could tell that the khaki shorts were the first season. After that they put pants on me.  I think they were frightened by my large calves.

Why did you give away trips to Universal Studios Florida? Weren't you all already there?

What happened to kids after the temple guard got them?
There was only one disembowelment that I know of. Otherwise they all were sent back to their mothers, some crying harder than others.

Some of the kids must have misbehaved or been a pain otherwise. Any memorable horror stories?
Let me think? Everyone was cool.  I think the toughest thing was that we shot 4 shows a day doing all the moat crossings first, then the steps, then the games, then, finally, after 12 hours- the temple run. Kids were generally wiped out so keeping their energy levels up was difficult especially after lunch where they were always given pizza. I believe that slowed them down. Only one real horror story, Olmec got pissed one day and ate part of the ledges.

Originally, you explained the rules for the temple games.
However, in seasons 2 or 3 Olmec took over. Were you ever jealous? Jealous?  Jealous?!  JEALOUS?!  Truth is that Olmec got all weird and demanded more air time. I was happy to give it to him. It made my life easier.

In your opinion, what's the trickiest room in the temple?
I think the Jesters court was hard- trying to get your hands and feet on those buttons.  But of course Shrine was a close second.  I don't know, sometimes they were all impossible, depending on fatigue/confusion levels .

Why can't anyone ever get the Silver Monkey together? It's feet-belly-head. Come on! Right?
Why? Because the damn thing was hard to put together. Feet-belly-head sounds easy but putting them facing out was kind of difficult when the clock is ticking, your about to throw up, and there are psychotic temple guards on the loose.

Did you ever think that 10 years later, there would be a channel like Nick GAS re-running Legends of theHidden Temple for 6 hours every day?
Talk to my ex-agent.

Some people believe that once a team loses the first challenge, they should lay down and forfeit the next two challenges allowing the other team two pendants of life and the best chance at recovering the temple's treasures. Do you think that's fair?
Yeah, I think it's fair, unfortunately the producers would have screamed at them for doing it and made them cry. Especially the little ones.

James Cook discovered Australia, New Zealand and what other previously unknown island chain?
A) The Bahamas
B) The Azores
C) The Hawaiian Islands

C!  These two teams will meet and play for a chance to go to Olmec's temple right after this!

Did you have a favorite team? It changes year to year but I'd have to say this year is the year of the Barracuda.

Any good stories about you and Olmec? Are you talking about drinking stories or... Oh, he once dragged the trees from the dark forest into the "Pit of Despair" and had his way with them.

Aside from your own, what is your favorite Nickelodeon game show?
"Figure it "out because Summer Sanders is hot. I was jealous of "Guts" because Mike O'Malley has had a better career than me.

Abraham Lincoln was assassinated by John Wilkes Booth in Ford?s Theater.  That same evening, the people responsible for Lincoln?s death tried to kill someone else in Lincoln?s cabinet.  Name him.
I still can't believe Lincoln is dead.

Do you admire any other Nickelodeon game show host?
Mark Summers. He is the best they ever had, and now does a damn fine job on his "candy show."

Who is the biggest Nick star that you got to meet?

What is next for Kirk Fogg?
I made my first feature film called DISTORTION which is coming out on DVD June 5th.  It's kind of like, "LOTHT gone wrong" or "Look what happened to the host of the LOTHT".  Actually, it's kind of a cool thriller. Check out the Website and trailer at and then send me and email and let me know what you think. It'll freak you out- maybe. Also getting ready to make another film this summer in L.A. A kid crime drama.

The Pit / YouTube Account Deletion
« on: February 12, 2007, 06:57:05 PM »
All my videos, even those not related to Legends, have entirely been removed from the site, and I'm IP-blocked from making another account.  I never made any attempt to replace the Legends videos once I started.

I propose a petition.

I'm probably pulling a n00b here, but I just noticed that the Laser Light Room laser platform is actually just the back of the Throne of the Pretender.

Did anyone else know that?

The Heart Room / Color Combinations Question
« on: November 28, 2006, 11:23:31 AM »
In the Temple Games (and the Steps, for that matter), have all the possible color combinations of teams competed against each other?  I can't seem to recall any episodes that pit Orange vs. Silver.  (I haven't seen Orange vs. Blue either, but I seem to recall one episode did.)

The Heart Room / Episodes that Filmed the Same Day
« on: November 25, 2006, 10:47:44 AM »
We should create a list based on the same Temple Games and Layouts and whatnot.

Another way to tell is during one episode's set of Temple Games and you see another artifact (case in point:  during Atocha's second Temple Game, you can see the Applewood Amulet of Emiliano Zapata in the Viper's Nest).

(Note:  Orders are subject to opinion unless evidence is stated below.)

Day 1 (due to the unique Temple Footages)
- The Thornwood Gavel of Judge Roy Bean (first due to the Gavel appearing in other episode footage during Temple Games)
- The Lion-Headed Bracelet of Chandragupta (sans Temple Run; see Day 10)
- The Lion-Slashed Jacket of Sacagawea
- The Secret Map of the Bandit Queen (last due to no audience)

Day 2
- The Marble Armrest of Xerxes (Xerxes confirmed to be day after Bandit Queen through Zac Turney interview)
- The Upside-Down Compass of Henry Hudson
- The Bent Shaving Pan of Jedediah Smith
- The Snow Cone of Mt. Kilimanjaro

Day 3 (now is when the order of days gets fuzzy)
- The Mummified Hand of the Egyptian King
- The Metal Beard of the Egyptian Queen (both Egypt episodes on the same day?  Cute.)
- The Lost Taj Mahal Turban of Aurangzeb (and another Middle-Eastern artifact?)
- The Melted Head of Madame Tussaud

Day 4
- The Golden Spider Web of Robert the Bruce
- The Mystical Spellbook of the Imperial Wizard
- The Smashed Printing Press of Frederick Douglass
- The Useless Map of the Chibcha Chieftain

Day 5 (Three Bitchy Layouts and a Monster Monkey)
- The Missing Portrait of Hans Holbein
- The Dried Apple Half of William Tell
- The Discarded Seal of Ivan the Terrible
- The Mysterious Manuscript of Mary Shelley

Day 6
- The Enormous Feather of the Me Linh
- The Royal Torque of Queen Boadicea
- The Ivory Hunting Horn of Roland (the fact Kirk commented on how fast Yakeera went insinuates this came after a day or two of taping losses, which wouldn't surprise me)
- The Lost Hornpipe of the Pirate Captain

Day 7
- The Lily-Crested Crown of Clovis I
- The Mussel-Shell Armor of Apanupac
- The Red Sash of Tokugawa Ieyasu
- The Broken Trident of Poseidon

Day 8 (what a day!)
- The Jewel-Encrusted Egg of Catherine the Great
- The Jeweled Scabbard of Sforza
- The Good-Luck Watch of Empress Eugenie
- The Ruby Earring of Benzibab

Day 9
- The Dried Ear of Corn of Sojourner Truth
- The Bullet-Riddled Handbag of Belle Boyd
- The Pearl Necklace of Gwalior
- The Lost Whale Bone of Pythias (Episode #115 confirms this was last for Day 9; see below for reason why)

Day 10
- The War Fan of the Forty-Seven Ronin (after a season of rigorous activity, the door could become stuck . . . hence, I feel this episode belongs here)
- The Comet-Embroidered Battle Flag of William the Conqueror
- The Bifocal Monocle of One-Eyed Jack
- The Much-Heralded Helmet of Sir Gawain (last due to no audience during Temple Run)
- The Lion-Headed Bracelet of Chandragupta (temple run only; methinks Andrea got sick and they had to squeeze her run in on the last day)

The Heart Room / Legends Contestants on Get the Picture
« on: November 13, 2006, 02:29:42 PM »
Alright, there are at least three that I know of:
- Olivia-Emma from "The Applewood Amulet of Emiliano Zapata"
- Jon from "The Golden Cricket Cage of Khan" (and trust me, he's even more retarded on that show)
- Adam from "The Collar of Davy Crockett"

Any others?

I figured this would be fun.  You can make a bunch of funny ones, but try to have at least one decent one.

'The Used Condom of Bill Clinton'
'The Rejected Painting of Adolf Hitler'
'The Lost Cassette Tape of Richard Nixon'
'The Lindbergh Baby'

'John Hancock's Quill Pen'
