As a San Franciscan myself, I'm overjoyed. It's not like me to soup things up, but it really was a special moment out here. :)

I could care less really because everybody knows that he just drugged up.  Hank Aaron is still the all time home run leader.

Major League Baseball knew it was happening and let it fly to make extra money. If they condoned the behavior then, why wouldn't they acknowledge his record as well? And isn't it possible that the pitchers he faced were drugged up? Don't listen to only a single side of the argument. Bonds deserves way more respect than he's been getting from folks like you who pick on him just because he's been successful.

Ha!  I knew it!  Barry Bonds did use steroids.  His ex-lover Kimberly Bell claims that he told her that he drugged up.  So there all you Bonds lovers!

Did you even read my post? I understand that he used, or probably used steroids, but I don't have a big problem with it. Again, if Major League Baseball was concerned about the integrity of their records, they would have had a more strict policy on them other than "5 strikes and you're out," like it was when Bonds played. Seriously, if baseball gives players five chances with fines in the triple digits, are they really trying to stop them? Absolutely not, so why is it a big deal NOW that he's been successful? Go ahead, jump on the bandwagon because it's easy to reach. News flash: the majority of baseball players use steroids, and nobody's going after them. And besides, Bonds has never failed any drug test.

If there's anybody to blame--I guess this is what I'm saying--blame Major League Baseball for their poor expectations and implicit encouragement of steroid use. Bonds did the wrong thing, but that doesn't mean you should rob the greatest hitter of all time his extremely hard-earned records when he's not unlike most other players.

And why are we not talking about Lance Armstrong, by the way? He, if anything, infringed more.

Don't you mean Floyd Landis?  Lance Armstrong deserved every Tour de France that he won.

Nope, I do mean Lance Armstrong. He was alleged of having used performance enhancing drugs on more than one occasion, just as much so as Bonds was, yet there is much less attention drawn to him. Floyd Landis, yes, he is another instance of doping, but he was proven to have been drugged up because cycling cracked down on him more than the MLB did on Bonds.
