Legends CW version canceled after one season

Sadly, CW Legends has been axed after one season:

Can't say I'm shocked by this. It didn't get good ratings and it just wasn't as good as the Nick version. The pacing was slow, there were too many commercials, the host was uninteresting and boring, the game-play felt like a step back, and I didn't like the reality TV feel with the cuts in the middle of the action to the contestant chatter. It was nice to see Legends return for a dozen episodes, but I'm not surprised to see it get cancelled after one season.

I was way too shocked. Maybe you can sign and share this petition. One supporter thinks Legends should return to Nickelodeon for a new generation of kids and teens. Maybe we’ll get that “Legends of the Hidden Temple at Super Bowl” special that I wish for if that were to happen.

Unfortunately, I'm not surprised the Legends reboot only lasted one season. I think PP319 nailed the reason why the reboot didn't work for me. It didn't really resemble the original show much and the pacing was pretty bad. Plus, it wasn't the same without the younger contestants. I always felt that they waited too long to reboot the show. This should've happened in the late 2000's/early 2010's when the target audience was still in their teen/20's. The target audience now is in their late 20's/30's/40's. Sadly, I think this is the final nail in the coffin for a Legends revival. I don't think any studios will consider producing another Legends show in the future. Although I would be glad to be proven wrong about this. I did enjoy the Josh from Empress Theodora and Nick from Great Seal episode from the reboot. If they had more episodes like this, it might've been more enjoyable.

As a game show fan and artist from the Philippines named Andre Elpedes recommended that I go on Dr. Phil to help make Legends of the Hidden Temple's thirtieth anniversary celebration right and convince Nickelodeon, Paramount Global, Stone & Company Entertainment and the CW to give the LOTHT reboot a second chance. Here's my letter:

I had a Change.org petition to get the Nickelodeon game show, "Legends of the Hidden Temple" rebooted and the reboot on the CW didn't last long enough. However, I feel that the reboot needs a second chance and therefore should be done right. With that, I'd like Nickelodeon, Paramount Global, Stone & Company Entertainment and the CW have a major celebration for Legends' 30th anniversary throughout 2023.

As you can see, I also wish that Hidden Temple Park from the Legends of the Hidden Temple movie could become a real world theme park and that there could be a "Legends of the Hidden Temple at Super Bowl" special in celebration of Super Bowl LVIII. If our guides Kirk Fogg and Cristela Alonzo ever watch Dr. Phil, then they'll definitely want it to happen as well. Hopefully every Dr. Phil fan gets the message!
