Figure It Out

My FAVORITE Figure It Out moment, was this one episode where this chick built this AWESOME sandcastle, and they decided to wheel it out onto the stage, and in doing so, the vibrations DESTROYED THE CASTLE!!!!!!  The chicks face who built the castle was priceless.

"Luckily" they already had video of the castle, and they showed that instead.

It was way funny, and my buddy had DVR when we watched it, and we rewound it a ton of times.

I was glad that they had a picture of it though cuz that girl worked hard on it and i know i'd be pissed if i was her.... and i wanted to see it, too.

There was one episode where the girl was something to the effect of "Alaskan Salmon Tossing Champion." The panel had figured out Alaskan Salmon Tossing ______. Kevin Kopelow guessed that it was Alaskan Salmon Tossing Freak. The audience laughed, but the girl stuck her tongue out at Kevin. The next two panelists failed to solve the solution, and the girl looked very happy that she was going to win. All of a sudden, Lori Beth guessed and solved the puzzle correctly. I remembering thinking how it served her right to not win the trip after she stuck her tongue out at Kevin.

By the way, that episode with the sand castle falling sounds hysterical.

One of the episodes in today's doubleheader was an early season 1 ep.  Notice how Summer goes into more specifics on the Secret Slime Action rules, and almost forgets to toss it to J to describe the SSA prize both times.  The episode is also memorable for a classic Lori Beth solve.

i know someone has the exact stats for this, but i think lori beth was probably the best panelist due to she would almost always solve the puzzle

I wouldn't be surprised. She was the only panelist who actually tried. Then you have panelists like Danny Tambourelli asking absolutely stupid questions: "Does it have to do with cheese?"


I personally wondered what would happen if you asked the contestant, "Is the answer to this question 'no'?"

There's a Figure it Out web site I found somewhere that has a theory that Lori Beth was given the answers ahead of time. Their evidence is that she was always the one (in season one anyway) who solved the puzzles. The site is right here. I don't know if I agree about that, but I do agree with them about the laughing.

I like Figure It Out. Some of the talents on the show are amazing (whites others are just plain dumb). My two favorite panelist were Lori Beth and Danny.

I cannot stand to watch any episodes with Shane or Mark. Neither of them were funny even when they treid to act like it. The worst FIO episodes are the Mark-Shane-Arjay-Steve pairing.
