I'm just wondering if anyone here plays a musical instrument or instruments.
I play guitar, keyboard, & a little harmonica. I also learned recorder in 4th or 5th grade, but I don't remember how to play it. And, I might also learn bass guitar and stylophone, but I'm still iffy on both.
FACT: The most intricate form of music I can read is tab. I really can't read traditional sheet music.

I'm starting to learn how to play bass. Otherwise, I don't have any instrumental knowledge yet.

In the past, I've played a wide range of instruments: piano, violin, cello, acoustic and electric guitars, and even bass, but I've found my true musical talent...vocals.

It should be noted my dream is to front a successful band. I'm a vocalist as well, but I wouldn't be able to write any music without knowing at least one instrument, and everybody and their grandma does guitar, so... yeah.

I started piano at 4, ditched it in fourth grade to do violin in school (we were forced to take at least one instrument back then), and got a B-.

Starting in middle school, we didn't have to play instruments in-school, so I started learning guitar outside of school. I just couldn't seem to get the hang of it though, neither could I get the hang of bass either.

So I stuck with my favorite bath time pastime...singing.

I still wish my voice wouldn't sound like a chipmunk's on-camera tho. It sounds so high when recorded...

My singing voice, on the other hand, is so deep it can come as a shock. Right now I'm working on improving my harsh vocals.

Seriously though, I can sing low notes, high notes, and medium notes. I just can't scream or growl, which is why I admire Linkin Park so much; Chester can do all of the things that I strive to do. XD

I can barely hit medium. XD

As much as I love Guns N' Roses, I can only sing songs like "It's So Easy," "Mr. Brownstone," "Double Talkin' Jive" and "Chinese Democracy" without having to shift things down several octaves. In the parts of "Locomotive" where there's three different octaves overdubbed, I'm following the basstastic voice. XD
