God damn, I deserve some sort of Certificate of Diplomacy for allowing this to be hosted here.

I?ve got a few things to say.

1.   I was against this topic from the start and I think it should be locked immediately, the only reason I have not yet is because I wouldn?t want to make a pre-emptive move before loose ends are tied up.

There is a little something known as jurisdiction. Look it up. I care about my members, and if there is a problem that all of you are facing regarding another forum, and then I can understand and allow a discussion about the problem. But from what I?ve read here, CNS and Phantom?s Temple have developed a beef with one another through all this mess. This whole ordeal just seems like a lot of unneeded bad blood that could have been taken up via IM?s. As Administrator, let me just say for the forum as a whole that discussion and support are one thing, but turning the forum into a battleship is quite another.

We could stay up all night arguing how unfair it is that Viacom is such a bitch about a show that hasn?t made a cent for their company in over a decade, and I?d have your back on that argument every step of the way.

But the truth is that any form of Legends you see today is a form of piracy. And having said that, any form of Legends you watch does not belong to you, so to argue about pirated videos online and ownership thereof is the biggest hypocrisy I have ever heard. They don?t belong to any of you. I don?t care who took the time to encode what, I thank you for doing it because it offers us a chance to watch the classic shows we are nostalgic for, but you can?t claim ownership of any of it because it?s not yours. My point being, this whole argument over ownership is ludicrous.

3.   Relations with CNS.

First and foremost, I want to make it clear, whatever actions you take on CNS are out of my hands and not my concern (again, lines of jurisdiction) but I?m not exactly comfortable with what has transpired. I don?t want CNS viewing this forum as a group of enemies plotting against them.

I don?t exactly agree with the actions they took, I think they made a few pre-emptive bans and this Johnnie character really raises several questions with the whole ?$100? bullshit, but that?s unimportant. The fact is, CNS needs to take up their own shit on their own forum, and I understand that MJ came over to make peace and I am not targeting you, however I am not pleased with the fact that my forum had to be used for negotiating these problems.

CNS is really starting to appear to be a really arrogant forum in my eyes, but my opinion is not important. If they want their links that bad then so be it, there?s no reason to target this forum. I just feel like this whole thing was completely unnecessary. If CNS feels the need to ban you for some reason that you think is unreasonable, well that?s their problem and your problem. I can promise you that here at Phantom?s Temple, you?ll receive a WARNING before any drastic actions are taken, but CNS is a completely different forum. Again, I don?t agree with their tactics, but that does not matter because I am not affiliated with that site.

I can?t help but think that sans the links on this site, this could have been taken up entirely between Retro Nick Show and Classic Nick Shows.

4.   Finally, let me just take the opportunity to apologize for two things. One, if I happened to miss a piece of information and misconstrue my conclusion on all of this, I am very sorry but it was a lot of information to take in at one time. And two, I am very sorry for being a tad vagrant in the past few weeks, but I?m sure any of you can testify how stressful college can be on life.

In conclusion, I think it?s time to end this thread and end this war between the forums. The classic Nickelodeon fandom is about discussing with likeminded people about the shows of our youth and possible venues to view them, not a battle ground of who owns what.

CNS representatives, I apologize for any bad blood between my forum and your own.

If anyone has anything else to say, add it now, otherwise this thread will be closed in 24 hours (Sunday 12:00AM EST. Oct. 18)

I apologize for any part I've had in this.  For the most part I tried to stay out of the argument because it didn't directly concern me, but I eventually jumped in and started speaking my mind, which I realize was uncalled for.

Before it gets shut down, I would like to have a final word on this situation and maybe get one more chance to get Bob his account back because I believe I know more about this more than anyone else and I can put the pieces together to form an argument. I will be using a lot of quotes:



First off, I would like to say it's a good thing that this debacle will come to an end. For months, I've been bedazzled to why I've brought this situation up that was originally between me and Bob trying to help me to get an account over at CNS. It first started out with TBF asking for help with his GUTS website, asking for people to make screencaps for the events [1]. I volunteered to help and TBF told me to sign in to classicnickshows.info, to which I replied that they were not accepting new members and that I have not registered with them. So he posted a bunch of links in code format, encoded by Ookler.

Eventually, Bob PM me and saw my post, where I mentioned that I did not have a CNS account because they were not accepting new members at that time. He told me that it was NOT the entire truth and told me that if I gave him some information of mine, then he could get an Admin of the site to create one for me. I agreed and gave him my username for the site, e-mail, and my first name. I sent it in and about a week later, I get a message from Bob saying,

"Unfortunately, I'm unable to help you acquire a CNS account. The Admins there will not help me out with creating an account for you."

A couple days later, I then get a message from him saying,

"Unfortunately, I must inform you that you've been REJECTED for an account on ClassicNickShows.Info by site owner Johnnie. I'm so sorry to have gotten your hopes up like that."

Now I was somewhat confused at this point, but not from myself not getting an account, but being rejected. I then replied back, asking

"Is there another reason why I was rejected other than former members trying to re-register again who have been banned before?".

Now as you can see, I used the word banned, and in that context, Bob might have assumed that I was a previous member who was banned. He refuted back, telling me:

"Look, Toltendo, I'll put it straight and clear! If you're banned on CNS, unless the Mods or Admins said that your ban is for a predetermined length of time, then you're banned for good!

Also, if you're already banned, then why not inform me of this point before I went off and made myself look stupid to 2 of the Mods, including Site Owner Johnny!!! If you've been banned and try to register again, it's called a Ban Evasion, and that'll earn you a Permaban, dude!".

From that point thereon, I was totally confused. I will tell you that I have never registered nor I have known about the site nor I have ever been banned. After that, Bob put up a thread, entitled Question for Forum Staff, asking:

"Now I know that over at ClassicNickShows.Info that All staff members can issue Bans. But what about here? I'm already painfully aware of Phantom's ability to Ban members. But can Ed and RP ban Members as well? Please inform me, Forum Staff!

Also, along those lines, could Ed ban RP?"

Ed then explains the issues on bans and it then continues on to the others coming together explaining the issue. I then come in and tell my story to why Bob opened up the issue. At the end of my statement, I said this was the cause of me wanting to download episodes of GUTS to help out TBF with his website. Ed then went on telling me that they suspend members only if they disobey a direct order. I personally went out and checked out CNS and concluded for myself that there might have been a lack of positive and reasonable relationship with the mod and member. I then revealed a PM between me and Bob that I previously mentioned. Bob went out and told everyone that he had no clue to why he was banned, to which he was left a message from CNS, although it has no specific member name on it. the message says:

"You are banned from this forum. The administrator or moderator that banned you left the following message:

Stay the fuck out

Please direct any inquiries to the forum administrator at [email:1t8ic0nl]johnnie@classicnickshows.info[/email:1t8ic0nl].

Ed then gave his word saying that he has no idea to what was going on, gave his final word, and closed the thread.

A day later, I needed to find a way to try to continue this discussion and the questioning from the previous thread. I gave some of my explanations to what happened and grew after page. A while later, the Mods and Phantom came in and agreed to keep the thread, in a 2-1 decision with TMH disapproving the thread. [3]

I suggest you read every page on this thread to understand what's going on here since the dialogue between me and everyone tells the story itself.

I would like to reply to Phantom. Thank you for keeping this thread for a long time until we could resolve this huge problem. I was trying to be rational in opening this discussion here, even though I was trying to find a better way to puzzle out the problem. I did not want any bad blood between CNS and this forum by being reasonable to everyone, especially Johnnie. I believe that his way of approaching was in bad manner. I assumed that Johnnie was not joking about what he says and I took it seriously, which led me into anger against him.

You know, I can't blame him for putting those links up. We're all fans of classic Nick shows or other forms of media and sometimes we tend to get the excitement to share this to everyone so others relive the nostalgia from our childhood, so I do think that Nickgas-misser did care for others to experience this once more. Unfortunately, there are some people who would want to keep their content for themselves because they encoded themselves and it's their form of ownership to the shows, event though it technically isn't.

Though, we do have to consider that it's their site and they make the rules. However unreasonable they may be or seem, you either abide by them or get the fuck out. I hate to say it in such a harsh way, but that's the reality. And it was clear in their rules that they did not want their links reposted.
