If you know anything about television (obviously this person does not) you know that any sound effect or music is added later on to prevent audio glitches cuts in the tape.

That is not true for all television...but I digress.

Even those I'm sure are all added on during post production. Price is right Definatly, as the audiences screams would drown out any sound system.

That's right. When I attended a taping of TPIR, you didn't hear the intro music, instead it was only Rich's voice that you would barely amongst the loud screams, shouts, and excitement. That continues on when Drew Carey comes out of the doors and everyone gives him a standing ovation. Eventually, they calm down and you then hear the music whenever they show a prize.

They are not all added on during post production. Just saying. A lot of times for Price there is little to no editing at all, although Toltendo can correct me if I'm wrong. I believe the music for the opening is still there, just pretty much impossible to hear. The show is done as if it's live. I know this because I'm practically a TPIR nerd. :P

I still couldn't hear the intro music, not because it was impossible to hear, but I was searching for the music to come on and I was surprised it didn't. I only heard Rich's voice announcing the contestants.

Oh ok, so that is added in then. That was the one part I really wasn't sure about. The rest of the music is there though, correct?

Actually, that's true. The only thing is that everytime the show's over, Rich Fields tells us to stay silent in the studio because there are times when he has to re-record some of his lines so that it would go to the edit room.

Well I've only been to one taping, so whenever you're in the Los Angeles area, you can pre-order tickets to the show on its website or if you're lucky, you can just walk straight up to the ticket booth and request for tickets. Just remember to wake up early to get to the first taping, with all of the bad traffic.
