The Heart Room / Temple game question
« on: October 19, 2006, 11:51:52 AM »
I've seen plenty of one pendant ties and a few pendant and a half ties...but has there ever been an ep that was a two pendant tie, meaning both teams won every game?

The Treasure Room / You Know You've Watched Too Much Legends When...
« on: October 07, 2006, 11:26:24 AM »
I love doing this in other fandoms lol.

-You have dreams about it (did once)

-you can recite the Olmec temple instructions and recall a lot of his intonation/pronounciation (I kept getting it in my head during work yesterday lol)

-You imagine yourself doing a temple run

-You can name all of the various rooms over the years (I think I can)

Anyone else?

The Pit / Epguide?

Is there anyplace to find a list of all the legends? I don't know if I'll ever know when I've seen them all; it's so hard to keep track. I don't see one on likely don't do game shows :(

The Heart Room / Davy Crockett's Racoon Collar

Am I the only one who noticed that the so-called 'disk' on the raccoon collar was actally a Pendant of Life?

The Heart Room / Keys to...the Spanish castle place
« on: September 03, 2006, 07:21:28 PM »
Am I the only one who wondered how that Red Jaguar could be so dumb to not just plow through the wall and get the keys? I wanted to reach into the TV and shake him(her?) a little and yell "you idiot, go through the wall!"

The Heart Room / Room question
« on: August 13, 2006, 07:11:37 PM »
Am I right that the only room to remain exactly the same appearance/theme wise and name-wise though the whole run of the show was Shrine of the Silver Monkey? The Ledges were always there but the name alternated between Ledges and Cave of Sighs.

The Heart Room / Early shows vs late ones
« on: August 06, 2006, 07:33:21 PM »
I'm glad the show progressed over its run because watching tonight's (Dead Man's Hand and Blackbeard's Map) showed how much better it got.

Things I like better about later shows:

1. Olmec losing the incene pillars or whatever those were and getting his gate, and doing more announcing instead of Kirk

2. Less temple guards in the Ledges/Cave of Sighs...or maybe it was just that later teams usualy headed for the stairs instead. Still it was better not having them get freaked out the moment they set food inside the temple.

3. The map and the pendant icons onscreen-it's easier being able to follow their progress for me, YMMV.

Is it just me or did the Tombs of the Ancient Kings room get bigger when it became The Dark Forest? Or did it just look bigger?

I don't know how the other eps were, It's been too long but tonight's teams couldn't seem to make progress even getting anywhere. I'm glad later teams had better luck.

*wonders why the Parrots never did fare well, or at least they fared worse than all the other teams*

The Heart Room / Favorite Temple Game and Moat Crossing
« on: August 05, 2006, 06:55:30 PM »
I know the theme of the games or what the objects in them were representing changed with whatever the legend was but which one was your favorite?

I always liked the ones that involved spinning around in that one or two person harness thing and trying to ride the horse. Oh and the jumping up to the top like in the Broken Trident Of Poseidon game today.

I'd stink at the wall climbs, I have like no upper body stregnth lol but they look fun.

Got a favorite moat crossing? I kinda like the one with the two poles accross the moat the teams had to put the boards on and move accross. I'd probably be unhappy with a lot of the games though, I'd be moaning 'cause I got all wet LOL. The same goes for the temple games with the soapy slideway or whatever that was. Eww lol.

The Dark Forest / Hi
« on: August 03, 2006, 07:35:17 PM »
ahh, this is where we say hello :)

I have to wonder if I'm the oldest here at 25...I watched the show all the time when I was younger, and missed it when it went off. I found out about NIck GAS while staying at an uncle's house but we just now got a cable package that gets the channel. I'm loving watching Legends and Guts returns. *just wishes Nick Arcade wasn't only on latenight*

anyway, hello, and I'm very surprised there's an active forum for the show and glad I found it.

PS I'm also glad to see another Parrots fan, I always used to cheer for them.

One thing I saw kinda made me mad, I've got a couple game show almanacs and one of them listed Legends as one of the worst all time gameshows, which made me wish I could yell at 'em lol.  They have no sense.
